Well, I'd love to comment on this, but cannot without breaking the NDA.

How about a similar topic in the Beta Tester area?

So I'm guessing expert mode and stuff will be like the AC series:

Expert mode: left and right rolls your plane left or right.

Novice mode: left and right makes your plane turn left or right\

A disadvantage of novice mode tho is that you're forced into a "cross". Look here at my horrible one:

That here are the limits of a plane when in novice mode (piloted by a pilot I will call A). A can only move among those lines and would have trouble hitting outside of them. As long as pilot B stays out of those lines, A might never be able to hit him, let alone set his crosshairs on him. In order for A to hit B however, he'd have to tap buttons.

If A chose expert mode, he could just roll in order to turn in the direction B is heading very easily. It's because due to rolling, his turn area is INFINITE. That means that he can keep up with anyone when turning and can only be defeated in a dogfight when his opponent turns better than him in one point.

tl;dr: Learn expert mode asap, only go to novice when you REALLY can't tolerate it.

I've been wanting to learn the control scheme for a LOOOOONG time.
Thanks WG for putting this video up for us :Smile_veryhappy:

I'm glad to see they are going to such efforts to support such a wide variety of control devices.

I'm intrigued by the comments that the joystick is the hardest to master. Maybe it's because that is what I am used to, but I found playing flight games with a joystick far more easy and intuitive than playing them with WASD control schemes.

Actually the NDA allows you to pretty much confirm whatever Wargaming releases on the subject as long as you don't go into detail, to my knowledge.

It is safe to say that I use a keyboard and mouse to play the game.

And that you can shoot in the game.

That's true, but it's actually to never talk about anything about the game that WG or the press didn't talk about.

Looks great, looking forward to getting invite to closed beta or wait for open beta. Either way i will probably try all of the game modes to see which one fits best for me.

You could try using a wired Xbox 360 controller and download the drivers needed to run it. Can be done, and the drivers are free.

How would you use a console controller? Like, how would you make it compatible with the computer? Like when you hold the centre button for an Xbox controller to match that controller to the Xbox. A response from a Beta tester who knows what is what would he helpful! Thanx!

You have to download some drivers, and if your controller is wireless, you need an adapter that costs $20. Play and charge doesn't make your wireless controller a wired one, cause the wire acts like a battery and feeds the controller to make it spew more wireless signals.

Btw, that's how you make an Xbox controller work on a PC IN GENERAL. So no NDA breach. You can find it by googling really.
