The combination of a mouse and a standard WASD keyboard is, without a doubt, the optimal choice for the majority of ‘ground’- action video games. Aerial combat takes place in a full scale 3D battle space and, as a result, provides for entirely different and far more varied options when it comes to control schemes.
In terms of control, we’re aiming to introduce multiple options for players to choose from. We‘re working hard to make each control option is easy to master, yet at the same time accessible and friendly for players that are new to the game.
We’ve currently settled on 4 primary control options: keyboard, gamepad, mouse and joystick, We’re still hard at work on them to ensure no matter what option you choose, your game experience is as exciting as possible.
Most PC video games use a keyboard as the primary input device. It’s easy to grasp with clearly defined basic commands and support for aerobatic maneuvers. However, its major drawback is the lack of fine-tuned control over movement. Keys operate on a dual-mode on/off principle that makes smooth movement incredibly difficult to manage. are looking So, if you for sweeping motion with maximum control over your plane, playing the game with a joystick is probably the best option for you.
The mouse is by far the simplest control scheme: players specify a direction with the cursor, and aircraft moves in this direction. Plane behavior may look a bit awkward at first, but within a couple of minutes its movement will feel like second nature.
We’re also working on an expert mode that will give players full control over aircraft, but at the expense of having a much higher learning curve. While it will take a lot of work and practice to truly master, reaching that point will be a really rewarding experience for players.
The gamepad will, most likely, become the choice of console gamers. Using a gamepad combines elements of both a keyboard and a mouse, but provides a smoother and steadier control
Aerial combat becomes very realistic when you use a joystick. It gives you maximum hold over the plane, and extremely realistic feeling of warplane control. At the same time it’s also the most difficult control scheme to master and requires quite a bit of time and practice. Prepare yourself to be more prey than predator at the beginning if you opt for this scheme
We are working to ensure all of the in-game control schemes are equally efficient, but in the end player preference will really determine which one will be the right choice for you. Every control option comes with its own unique style and feel. None, however, will grant you any in-combat advantage – skill will ultimately determine your success in the skies!
