If its got bombs I got a bombardier. I made a list and went through it systematically. There are 140 planes in game with bombs. 3 of those have rockets or bombs in specialist configuration but rockets are the top spot; Typhoon, Tempest, Sea Hawk. 15 planes only get bombs in the stock configuration; Pegasus, Hurricane II, F4F, P-38F, Hs 129 B, F4U-1, Tornado, Me 410, F4U-4, Seafang, Me 262, Pancake, Banshee, F-84B, F-84F.
Ways to bomb kill;
- offensive bomb kill: drop your load while overtaking a GA or low flying plane. Easiest when a GA is flying strait because they are shooting a ground target. You know exactly where they will go and will be lowest just before the ground target. They start to pull up at the ground target.
- defensive bomb kill: drop your load while being chased. Works well in a GA because you can tank his bullets and hit the brake to draw him in close.
- bomb trap: dive at the ground or edge of a cliff while being chased and drop your bomb blowing up your pursuer. Works well in a multirole when you can't get away from a faster and more maneuverable light fighter.
- passive bomb kill: when you drop your bombs from a high altitude bomber and a GA or other plane just happens to get in the way.
- bomber bomb kill: drop your bomb on a bomber and score a direct hit mid altitude. Using strings of bombs like on American bombers on bomber flights that fly strait and at a constant speed is easiest. If you manage to hit one with the big bombs from the EF-131 it will kill multiple bombers from the flight because the blast radius and damage are so big.
- bomb to the face: AKA tea bagging. When you dive on a plane from high altitude (i.e. you're in a heavy and diving on a light fighter) and he pulls up to go head on with you. Going head on with a heavy is stupid anyway but you can add insult to injury by using your bomb sight to line him up and drop your bombs right on his eyelids.
