YAWN! I want an event for GOLD. This is boring, I am bored.

 

Up the rewards WG, let's get some competition going! 

 

The crates are cool, and that's all I really play for anyway in these lame "events", but let's cut to the chase: GOLD rewards. 

 

This is getting old.

Some of my best games prior to 2.0 (bots & bombers) was in the Ga, with all of its firepower & rear gunner. 

But times have change and the slow speed of that plane really hurts it compared to the German line of ga's and bombers.

On a small map it does ok, but on those larger maps, it gets left behind.

I've already stripped mine of its Crew and all of the mounted gear.

If you're looking to grind up a tier 7 thru 10 Ga line..... would highly recommend the German line.

Fast--Good Guns, -- Good Bombs -- and a much faster Bomb Reload speed.

Plus, when confronting any Russian Ga. line, you will be the hunter, in that dogfight.... not the hunted...o7

I'm working both lines, I'm just farther along on the Russian line (I have yet to start the Ju 88 P grind, but I'm working towards the Tier 7 through the HF line).

 

The Tier 7+ German GAAs look like fun, but I've very much enjoyed my Russian GAs so far and have actually done fairly well for me (which admittedly isn't a high bar). 

 

I did enjoy the T5 German GA grind (Ju 87 G and Hs 129 B) way more than I thought I would - the only reason I haven't done the 88 yet is because I've been grinding other stuff.

the mid-tier German GAA are suffering incarnate.  The higher tiers are all sorts of fun, especially tier IX and X.

T7 and T8 are pretty good.  T9 is better.  Just got T10, and WOOT!

Dang, but the targets melt, and woe be unto any red GAA in-sector.  The bombs get the work done, and the guns clean up any stray segments, and quickly.  You might not one-pass a mining plant, but when you turn around and come back - tap, tap, tap - BOOM!  Tap, tap, tap - BOOM!  Blue, next sector, please.

And then the EF131 or Ju 287comes by and caps it back 10 seconds after it unlocks!

 

I love flying the Tier IX and X German GAAs, and I do take them out regularly. They're a literal blast to fly--but all your Heros of the Sky and captured sectors don't necessarily translate into wins as you might expect.

The 1102 is FAST, and it surprised me after playing the 1099.  I expected it to be faster, but I have to recalibrate my approaches now, because I spent my first battle pretty much cooking every approach.  What the....  dammit.  Gotta be using the brakes and flaps a lot more.

Yep, the biggest adjustment I had to make as well! Had the same "What the..." as you did. Takes getting used to after the 1102. And the 1102 is by no means slow.
