Also: F5F should be a tier 4 heavy, XP-50 a tier 5 (with it's speed adjusted).

a new P-38?????
I'm in. Even though the L IRL had nothing of the sort to these in-game stuff.

Same. If the speed and altitude performance is as good as the J, it might be more than just a collector's oddity. If the altitude and speed are *better* then there is a legit reason to pick it over the XP-54 to fly as a choice. I'd have to see how good the rockets are, and what Mary Lovehart could make the plane do.

This is why the Pancake is not as good as it use to be, people did not want to learn how to take it out like I did and so they P*ssed and Moaned about it until they nerfed it. I use to not be able to take out a Pancake with my BVP but now I can. On the other hand I have revisited the Pancake and learned how to set it up so that it will almost do what it use to do. It now has a glide number of 25 whereas the BVP210 number is only 20. So I have gotten the Pancake back to where it should be. I can now go from 400 feet to 7,000 feet without boost and with boost I can make it to just over 14,000. That is floor to ceiling!!!!
Now I know that all of you have no idea what I mean by glide number but I use it to help me understand what I can do or not do in a plane as I am flying it and I will leave it at that for now.

how many skill points do you have on Mary? I have been at 15 for about 2 years now.

I only have 11 points on her currently. Eventually, she is going to be my Cutlass pilot. But I'd like her to be able to run any of my American premiums.

You know you need to learn to fly better when a player with 200 games calls you out.
Or I am posting so you can read my signature.
Personally, I have never had a problem against the Goose.
I can not say that about certain players, regardless of what they fly.

Cylinder is Farquare I believe.
It's hard to follow alts unless you make it easy, say like using characters from the same movie, or avatars with mutant chickens.
I even created my first EU alt last week...

what tripped me up was the reference to 15mm guns, which I'd never heard of any such thing for American planes. However, a bit later, a chunk of "oh, right" fell off a dusty memory shelf about testing .60 cal guns in a P-38. Was able to find a few references that way.
insert "Americans will do anything to avoid using the metric system" memes here.

Yeah, but you did not have to let Marcellus know that

I dunno. i feel sort of Meh about it.
Honestly the guns are a bit of a red herring tho.
It already carry 10 HVAR as is. Now it is gonna get more(!) somehow even if i cant see where they would go.

I guess they will mount flush to the wing instead of those reinforced Christmas trees it already uses. Maybe both at the same time?

Weird. But weird happens when you use experimental configurations. Its sort of the point.
Will i get it? oh heck yes. P-38s are the prettiest planes in my garage. Legs for days and now with a(nother) massive rack of missiles?
Dont mind if i do.
If I'm honest the P-38 had a lot of experimental models. So this completely made up one just as fine with me.
Actually now that i think about it ...this could be really interesting.
I am speculating now that this premium variant
No wait that is too much ... Lets be more realistic
Fair warning. My success rate at speculative guesswork is on par with my WinRate. Hit or Miss.
I start on the right track and then sometimes make a weird left turn and get lost in the weeds ...

Hmmm, imma gonna say you mean tech tree? The Do-335 and B&V P.203 both have 15mm cannonz.
6 Ma Deuce with the current buffs does sound really juicy, not gonna lie.
Maybe the big rack(s) that you're thinking of will just be the same racks, but now with moar inboard racks, with 3 each side?
It'll be interesting to see - no new model to draw, so all there is to do is print money, da?

Exactly that.
Also, the P-38L page will come online tomorrow after the update goes live.
Thank you for the conformation.

Experimental ?
The P-38L was the most numerous variant of the Lightning, with 3,923 built,

EDIT: aha, it was only just one P-38L with that loadout. And it did "not go beyond unsuccessful trials". Typical Wowp plane ...
