ty, WG!      nice month-long event       other than having to fly a T5 plane to try to win a T4 plane, it's a perfect event for new folks

the Duck is fun, but the LaGG is meh      seen some people do well in it, but it's not for me

however, if you like turny planes, the P-39N is a keeper       but not the Q     nope     almost identical, except for some changes in the guns    can't remember

These regular events make me think that a nice holiday season event might be in the works? Remember the event with the gameboard like graphic and you moved along, sort of like the game Candyland? That was fun. Perhaps holiday crates will be reasonably priced.

I remember one of the earlier events where we "shot down" flying saucers with snowballs!  I think it is how I got my Do 17.

Looks at the event missions....thinks to self, looks doable.

Looks at recent gameplay (25 games).....er....1.7 captures per game, 4.72 enemy aircraft kills per game.....206 battles for the LaGG-3 (34) (which I already have) and 148 battles for the P-39N.

In a month.

The way I've been flying.

On the plus side, I'm working on specing my IL-2 and I just got the IL-2 (mod) from a crate, so there is that for points from destroying ground targets.

Still, this is a great event and is doable for most people if they have the time and a modicum of skill.  I may not have time, and my level of skill is questionable, so maybe not me LOL

The only feedback I'd have regarding this event is that it's tier V and higher. Now I fully support as least sealclubbing as possible, but on other side, a player needs to decide whether to pursue Token missions OR monthly challenge.

I wish there was possible "spillover" downward once you finish higher tier's part of token mission. Splitting it by tiers is very bad design, IMO, as it's forcing experienced players go low tier and club innocent seals.

makes a ton of good sense, Innokentiy!          it just feels ridiculous to shoot down new folks for tokens, doesn't it?

it's just like stealing schoolkids' lunch money

I was hoping that they would do the Sliepnir thing again some time.  I missed it the first time around.

Agree this is a much more achievable set (& with low enough numbers that the GUI will work)

I've already got the Duck & P-39 N-1 but I've been kinda lusting after the LaGG-3-34 so I'm pretty excited about that.

That said, actually comparing its stats its basically just Yak-7 minus a machinegun :sceptic:

Might sell Yak-7 & keep the -34.

C'est magnifique, mais ce n'est pas le SerB.

Thank you for this event and the rewards.

"Push me, shove you."

"Oh yeah, says who?"

This was good, finished today.

The Gold compensation for P-39 & Duck + some from crates brought my Gold back up to nearly what it had been before I bought the P-80a during the recent sale.

I won't say I exactly enjoyed it but to complete the Duck mission I forced myself to play a bunch of bombers I've had sitting in my Favourites for a long time waiting on me to finish Specialising them.

I switched around my builds a bit on several & finally got around to mapping pitch keys for tailgunnering which makes waaay more of an effect than I expected, overall probably more likely to fly them than I had been.
