I admit I would rather see an event that fulfilled some long promised items such as new high tier US bombers and/or the Special Pilot for the B-17G but I do find plenty to like with this one.

I'll fly for some free stuff, but really, it would take a few battles to get the required XP. And I wouldn't be grinding stuff, I'd have to play my good planes.

Wells at least they didn't attach a..... " MUST WIN " ..
... to receive any credit 
towards those 3 missions.
Guess you'll receive your due credit ( crates & tokens ) based on your .....Personal Effort and Accomplishment in battle.
The only down side, 
if the bots don't carry your slug butts to " Victory " , you'll lose out on the 3X .

I would comment about how bad the play was this weekend, but why bother? I used to spend money on this game all the time, now I might pull out the card every few months. Not spending money on the game is the only feedback Wargaming cares about.

I just read about the War ship's implosion. What? People upset over a lack of integrity? I just left a game (3/2 match up) - in my 3 heavy that barely outpaced the tier 2 SHKS. I should have zoomed past him, but was lucky to make it out of the sector without dying. Game play lacks consistency. My money will stay with me until further notice.

the point toitals are a bit grindy but manageable. The 3x multiplier is nice for pumping up them pilot skills.
And if you really wanted to stat pad you can do it all in teir 3 and lower.
Perfect way for a new player to get a bunch of crates and token that they would miss out on from a lack of any plane over tier 5
