So I just had a battle with a flighted pair of QUID Clan on each side.  A Bf-109B and an I-17 in each pair.  Obviously a simultaneous drop into battle.

The problem is they proceeded to cheat.  The pair on my side each shot down 1 plane (outside of a cap zone) and then proceeded to fly straight and level into a cap zone and let their clan buddies shoot them down without shooting back or attempting to avoid bullets.  They each died 6 times!  All at the hands of their clan on the other side.

Since I was low tier this low tactic really hurt our chances of winning.  I reported them for unfair play, of course.  Has anyone else seen this behavior?

I haven't seen it, but it certainly seems....unusual.   I've done count-ins with both A-S-S and A_C_E, the general rule of thumb is that if it's red, it's dead, regardless of the clan tag.

I'm not sure what the purpose of the QUID players was, unless one flight was trying to accomplish something specific that would not be accomplished (or hard to accomplish) via regular play.

It's probably mission rigging. It's a big problem in wot. Basically you get the lowest tier that works for the mission, tier 4 in this case, and you use clan buddies or alt accounts to drop to rig. This is especially prevalent when doing attack or defend missions. Since it is late in the time frame to finish the b29c grind I am guessing that it is rigging

No it is not new.

It was more prevalent in the pre bot era of play.

Thought it would never happen again

Actually Wargaming is very good at dealing with violators.

They just will not inform you about what they did or that they dealt with it,

I use to report all the " offensive childish names " and would track them.

After a couple of days, YES less than a week.

You would see " Renamed user ###### "

And here i was thinking this would be about long range high altitude heavy bombers delivering their pay load from tree top heights.

Fair warning. My success rate at speculative guesswork is on par with my WinRate. Hit or Miss.

You heard of the " Back to Hanger  " button, ( outcome in the battle was going to be predictable ),.....why stick around ?

Quote :" Since I was low tier this low tactic really hurt our chances of winning. "   ( You already knew winning wasn't going to happen )

By sticking around and capping bases for your side ,all you accomplished was to give them more time to carry on their dirty deeds

In theory .... if you aware of it going on, and witness them doing it.. you really should have left. .:bajan:

Sorry to say this ,... but by staying, you were indirectly were supporting them,( friendly fire ) & because you stuck around , you extended their playing time .

Just might have been a good time to use it.:B

however, my flight partners often watch me just fly right into a cap and immediately get killed

to them, it looks just like i think i'm bulletproof

I was surprised recently to see the 2 bomber bots doing very low level bombing runs at the mine. I used to always expect them at their nominal high altitude for the tier. Now once in awhile they will come in low. Well done Wg to mix it up.

It is a riot doing a B-32 or B-29 run just above the self-damage altitude.  Full speed, just let the bombs rip.   It's not as good as from about 1000-1500m, because the bombs don't spread out much laterally, but it is literal-LOL fun.  You get carved up by low-level AA, but you get to kill ADA.

Also, bot HF don't find you as easily.  Downside, bot MRF find you.

Sneaking across the map at 20m is amusing, too.

It's not really a winning tactic, because the bombs seem to do less overall damage, but it is a lot of fun.
