De-arse your bunks! Man the planes! The Fokkers are in sight! BAM ba LAMMM!

I-210 is just one brief hiccup, and for more experienced players it's not even much of a problem. I'm going to buy the I-210 back eventually.

You'll want to look at the P.1101 and the La-15. The P.1101 has immense firepower and excellent altitude but is slower and less maneuverable. The La-15 has better maneuverability and speed but rather mediocre firepower and optimum altitude. The 1101 is generally preferred by most simply because its easier to get to and you don't need to maneuver if your opponents are dead.

Based on username: La-15 or Mig15 bis.
La line is a fairly easy intro to the game, similarish gameplay to the Spitfires that are generally recommended as newbie friendly.
I took it up to T6 quickly for the very Soviet La-5 & La-15 was I think my 2nd T10 after the Swift.
MiG line is a bit more refined with less turn, more speed and altitude but generally less firepower.
You need to be better at picking your fights but there is more to get out of them when you're doing it right.
From T8 up you get twin 23mm and a 37mm canon which is excellent firepower when you're landing the 37mm but tricky to do regularly.

Nope. Fast planes generally trade speed for maneuverability.
Or, you know, take the I-215 in the Yak multiroles and deck it out with lightweight air frame, lightweight power unit, polished skin, bolt carriers, and you have a turny meme plane speeding around at 600 km/h with a 57 millimeter derp gun

i like folks who have big dreams best of luck on your new journey
i personally would learn how the game mechanics work first, using an easy-to-learn Spitfire and realize it's weaknesses
then fly the 109 line up to the 1101

WoWP makes a great jousting game...especially with the 262 and people busy in furballs...
I am deaf, silent, and fly with unrealistic controls. Do not count on me to carry - my back's already broken from overweight.

Decent power is relative in wowp, if you can get on his tail you can wear him down. Try KI fighters? they have decent guns too.
