What does aircraft type grade 2 mean exactly?

I had Hero of the sky and didn't get it... is there a specific thing?

Hero of the Sky should have taken care of it.  Grade 2 is only 4 chevrons.

Get 4 chevrons, one level short of the star.

...also, the missions are in stage so you can't complete the chevron one if the intermediate one is not finished.

WoWP makes a great jousting game...especially with the 262 and people busy in furballs...
I am deaf, silent, and fly with unrealistic controls. Do not count on me to carry - my back's already broken from overweight.

4 chevrons... I don't get chevrons a lot lol.

I am the smartest. I am smart because I said I am. How can you doubt me if I am the smartest?

It's a little wonky in this Game Mode.  IIRC the last time this issue came around, several portions of the Mastery scales don't occur much at all in Bomber Escort.  I'm more than a little fuzzy on the details, but getting more than a stripe or two isn't that common.  (although I did see several Hero of the Skies results this afternoon, sadly all by other pilots!)

It is just not coincident is the problem I had. I finished up part 2, and had Hero, thought it would clear both, but I guess not...

Fly a bomber!  Hero of the Skies galore.  :great:

Sadly, losses galore, too.   :(

This.  Racked up cricket scores in the B-32 and B-17G, decent results in B-17D and He-111.  Taking out half of the AAA positions before the Attack Flight gets there helps, but the fighters/heavies still have work to do keeping the bombers alive.
