Current mode is Bomber Escort.
What are the features of the next three modes - Attrition, Conquest and Invasion?
Next stage mode is Invasion. It's another one asymmetrical game mode, where players will be devided into two teams: Attackers and Defenders. One team will attack the positions held by the rival team in an attempt to capture them. At the beginning of the battle, all the territories on the battlefield are controlled by the defending team, and the attackers have limited time to recapture them. They will have 4 minutes to capture the first one, gaining additional time for every subsequent territory up to a maximum of 12 minutes of battle duration.
Both teams will have a limited supply of reserve aircraft (respawns), with the defending team having fewer of them. The defending team will have AA guns and defenders at their side though, which will help them fend off the assault, while the airbases will keep their machines in flying condition.
The win conditions are simple: the attacking team needs to capture all the territories in the given time or destroy all the enemy team aircraft, including the reserve ones. The defending team needs to save their warplanes, manage to keep at least one territory under their control or destroy the attacking team completely. A draw is possible only in the case that the last aircraft from both teams simultaneously destroy each other.
Conquest is our standard game mode with the same rules.
In Attrition mode, you will need too deplete the enemy’s Resources. Every enemy aircraft you destroy means a loss of 1 Resource. A team that depletes the enemy Resources first wins. Each team can capture territories and thus increase the “value” of every enemy aircraft and improve their team’s chances of victory. Once a team controls 2 territories, every enemy aircraft costs 2 Resources, 3 territories — 3 Resources, and so on. Controlling only 1 territory does not give any advantage. Both teams start the battle with an equal amount of Resources that depend on the number of territories on the map.
In order to win, a team needs to deplete the enemy team’s Resources and completely destroy all their aircraft. In case neither team manages to do that within 12 minutes of battle, the team that has more remaining Resources will be declared the winner. Only if both teams in this situation have an equal amount of Resources will there be a draw.
