Built a new system a couple weeks ago and its driving me crazy.

 

First, when hit f4 would force close the game. Figured it was sticky keys or something, so just remapped it.

 

Last few days the reticle will just go bat shoot crazy and plane would be hard to control. Almost lag like

Fps is usually 70-120 and ping is the usual ~110

Temps are great, gpu never over 61c and cpu usually under 52c. Even pulled side of case off last battle and pointed a fan in there and no change. Can play tanks for hours without issue.

 

I am on wifi, great signal strength and on a 750gb connection 

 

System is:

Ryzen 3600

Asus 2060 oc

16gb of ram

1tb samsung m.2 nvme drive (max temp 45c)

 

Before I realized the f4 issue force closing the game I did replace the gigabyte motherboard with an Asus board 

I've cleared the cache and run the clean file the wg support sent 

 

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated

Try changing to Joystick in settings. Apply. Exit game. Open game. Change control to mouse.

If all else fails, I do an uninstall, clean registry with CCleaner (important!), reboot and reinstall.  Fixes a lot of weird stuff.

So, you swapped the nvme boot drive with a new motherboard with same or different chipset?  I know Windows has gotten better at identifying and updating drivers, etc, but not sure I'd trust a transplanted OS with the registry entries from old mobo, etc.  Unless you did a Windows repair that reset/reinstalled the OS? 

 

Also, make sure no pubes in the mouse optical area ?

I did a fresh install after I put it together.

 

I cleaned out the mouse hole, squeaky clean ;)

First question is:  How frequently does this happen?

 

Second question is:  Did you overclock anything?

 

Third question is:  Does this happen on weekdays when few are playing or on weekends?

 

I have a pretty low-end system that still gives pretty good results.  Lately, I have had a lot of lag on weekends and others have complained about it from in-game chat.  I've seen a lot of XX% lost packets when playing and my pixel plane hangs in the sky doing nothing.  Not sure if that's your problem but I have seen a lot more packet loss lately than I have in the past, let's say, 6 months.  

 

So... if it happens when few players are online, might be something in your setup.  If it happens when a lot of players are online, it's probably WG.

I don't wanna jinx this, but I think I figured it out. 

 

I think it was lag, but not to WG server but between my AP and pc.

I was reinstalling the game and the speed was horrid,  so checked and it was on 2.4Ghz, switched it to 5Ghz and bam. Speed was 10x faster.

I logged into my server and checked the ubiquiti controller logs and a boatload of errors, rebooted the AP, set my computer to 5Ghz preferred.

 

Just played a quick game and played awesome. Think ill find a way to fish some cat5 from my switch to computer room.
