If you actually READ the article on the official website, you'll see ALL the bots in the same tier period are the same(t1-4 novice, t5 medium, t7+ veteran). Now that isn't right, according to you people who say MM bots are random and mostly noobs.

No, they are not. The article describes how MM system works in reality. Please do not post to spread false information.

Right idea, but veteran is tier 6+ as shown in this article:

Ok, so when you look at in game bot scores that spread does not look like they all have the same intelligence level. Thats just going by what you see in game.

Agreed.  I always just assumed they assigned some random variable to emulate people.  You know, some dumb, some not so dumb.  I really don't know though, just a guess.

In my experience the skill level of bots is random. Its not like every bot at tiers 8-10 is a "veteran" or "elite" or whatever you wanna call a bot that is top notch. Skilled bots can be met at tiers 5-7 as well, but not as often. And hasnt seen a bot [at lower tiers]  that will actively pursue and keep killing you throughout the battle - either they are not there or everything just dies in a second and there is no real "pursuing". 

It seems that a veteran bot is like one or two out of them lot, rest half are regular and half are noobs. A lot depends on the airplane they are flying too, some planes are better than others. Elite bot on a crappy plane cant do much just like a person cant do much on a bad airplane.

BBW, headhunting bots def a thing.  You notice them most often in bombers, but I've had them come after me while flying other types.  Earlier today, had a bot Bf-110 attach to my bomber and shoot me down.  I respawned in a captured airfield and headed towards the center Plant, only to see that same bot beelining straight towards me from the other side of the map.  Checked post-game, said bot had 2 kills.  Both of them ME!  (it also had a ground target kill, truly a bot of several talents!!!)

Bots not so much of a problem but uptiered humans with 7-800 plus hrs more than me headhunting me throughout the battle in lower tiers = stat padding * so I bail because what's the point?  It's happening a lot more than it used to.

elites can't headhunt you if you're headhunting them!

 

well, that's not true, but they damn sure will if you kill them first       at least that's a "strategy" that i use against superpilots     

 

takes them completely out of the game for a little while, as you get kicked around like a kid's beach ball, while your blue team keeps grinding away

 

but...  elites are different from the rest of us       they can somehow keep monitoring the battle flow while they're dealings with headhunters, so the superpilots still keep winning

If you go above tier 5 and don't consider the red human player to be the most dangerous variable you are living in a gum drop fantasy.  If I find myself in a cap with a human adversary I'm killing him first every time.  Its not head hunting, its tactics.  I'm sorry to hurt peoples feelings but its a game and I like to win a few matches.  Some of my most epic games are loses.  I wish more people would embrace playing through rather than bailing when they think they can't win.

What WG posts about how the MM system works in "reality" does not match what version 2.1.1.x does in reality. After flying 2.7K battles in v2.1.1.x I can tell that something is fubared. Whether WG deliberately made some changes or it's a consequence of logic bugs is unknown. All I know is in some battles I can win with a superiority blowout and others I can lose with a superiority blowout no matter what tier I fly as it's a global balance problem. Sometimes (but rarer) I can get this in back to back battles flying the same plane with same number of human pilots. This should not be happening.
