what is wrong with this game, it always crashes,wont load,disconnects. Today i tried to play and after an hour of trying play i finally got a win...60% plus in losses...i mean cmon. i came here to get away from the hate and ignorance in WOT

i did everything possible to fix it...and yes i have the best internet you can get from COMCAST/XFINITY

restart computer before launching the game.  Have as little else running as possible.  (preferably nothing.)

 

both of these seem to help my issues with connectivity.

Clear the game cache every time you start up wowp.  It's in the drop down on the right side of the big orange button before you get into the game.

A decent (not top notch, just decent) computer could probably help. With properly working RAM and PSU.

Even "fast" internet can have lag and lost packets if there are multiple devices communicating on it.  I only play Warplanes when nothing else is on my network.  Warplanes is not tolerant of any interruptions in connection.

If all else fails (assuming this only happens with WoWP) uninstall the game, run CCleaner on the registry (important step because of all the dead carp the game uninstaller leaves behind) and reinstall.

Take my word for it, that isn't saying much. I live less than a quarter mile from the Comcast hub and I still receive the same crap.

All I can tell you is listen to some of the others on here and what they say to do. 

Restarting my computer seems to help more than anything else.

kind of a free association, but let me help with #2       you don't even know how much you don't know yet, so a 40% WR is right about median for a beginner       prob the same in WOT?

 

#3    it's much better here    hands down       ask for help with anything, but please be specific and you'll quickly get help from many experts here

just wanna say thanks for all the info, i unistalled,ran cc cleaner etc. Downloaded the game again (3 times now ) and i still have long load times, everytime i hit battle button i sit and wit for it to load then the count down screen will pop up and when it hits zero i am still waiting to get in battle,80% of the time when i do get in my plane is already 1/2 dead..grrrrrrrr

What brand is your computer? Texas Instruments? Casio?

First, run MEMTEST86 for half an hour to make sure your memory is working 100% at max temps. Then, install and run OPEN HARDWARE MONITOR in the background while playing WoWP to see if your cpu and/or gpu is getting too hot under load. A gpu that gets too hot due to insufficient airflow or the heatsink isn't seating perfectly or the gpu thermal paste is worn out (after a few years of use) will cause your gpu temp to skyrocket fast (it should go up in temp slowly) and that will always cause game problems and crashes. My bet is that your gpu is getting into the 70°C or worse (above 80°C) which is very bad and will cause not just WoWP but most games to malfunction. Just sitting idle at the desktop your gpu should be in the low 40°C temps or ideally in the 30°s. Same for cpu. Most video cards will allow you to adjust your gpu fan speed/gpu temp ratio to balance between too much heat or too much fan noise via a utility like MSI Afterburner (AMD gpu). I have a Zotac Geforce 1060 AMP! (Nvidia gpu) video card and use their FireStorm utility for controlling the 2 cooling fans.
