I’ve done searches but get nothing explaining how to do this.

Copy the photo url and then use the landscape button to the left of Youtube. I use Imgur so use the direct link and pick a good size. But trying it now it won't let me anymore. But at least you can try the right button.

I'm able to copy an Imgur file in the spoiler which is the one to the right of the " button. Used to be that one way loaded the link, the other loaded the actual photo. Doesn't seem to want to do it now. Did this before in WOT forum, a lot.

Just weird that you can’t simply add a picture directly from your PC.

No matter what I do I always get this message:

You have entered a link to a website that the administrator does not allow links to.

I'm using imgur and trying to figure this out but so far nothing is working for me. Did Wargaming decide to blacklist imgur?

i used to use tinypic with no problem, but they closed it down.  Photobucket (their pay service cousin) charges a fee for linking and I've not payed for that and so, I can't say whether that site works for linking here or not.

I guess I should expand my answer.

If you click the "More Reply Options" in the bottom right corner (next to "post") it should bring up a screen with an option "Attach Files" in the lower left corner (this is also the screen you see if you are starting a new post, instead of replying to a post).

This will let you upload a file (including pic), but it is limited to a small individual file size (10mb) and a very small total forum upload amount (48.83mb).

Iirc, when you attach a file this way, it might do something weird. I'm not sure.

But, once uploaded, you can click the "my media" button on the text window ui toolbar.  This is 2 icons to the right of the "youtube" icon.  Once here, it allows you to select from files that you've uploaded.

Here, you should be able to select the file that you want, from the "Attachments" button on the upper left corner of this smaller "my media" window, and have it linked in.

Let's give it a try....

dispersion2.jpg

edit. that works, and if you click the tiny thumbnail it attached, it gives a full screen size view.  So, you can't upload heaps of stuff b/c of the overall limit and you may need to compress your screenshot down if you took a really high quality image.  However, for trying to ask a question about something and using a pic as visual aid, it's functional.

I couldn't really tell what the pic was that I grabbed until I expanded it after posting and that pic is an oldy too!  Thankfully that's one thing they mostly fixed.  Who else remembers the good old days with bullets flying off at 45 degree angles from where you're shooting?

Further edit.  Oh man.  I miss the friggin radar.  Minimap is nice, but radar was boss.  And the "rearview" (who's shooting at me) cam in the lower left!  OMFG.  Why did they take these things out??  Silly, "special" Russian devs.  That lady project manager was hell bent on making wowp a bad product:  if it aint broke...break it.

That was happening to me but i found a thread where someone posted that you have to remove the 's' from the https://imgur.com/Whatever link for the picture link to work. I tried it and it worked fine.

48.83mb? LOL, It would be good if true.

"Used 265.52K of your 500K global upload quota (Max. single file size: 234.48K)"

500k - that what the limit is. Most moronic thing ever saw.

Hmm... Imgur pic = http://i.imgur.com/ocP6oOkl.jpg

Hey, this works, Just paste the direct link in and remove the s so it's just http:. Thanks Lex.

So why didn't a WoWP admin or tech support person come in and say this a long time ago (or did they?).

Haven't double checked, but discovered some months ago that if you plan on placing an imgur link in your signature, it's reversed and requires https:

"Push me, shove you."

"Oh yeah, says who?"
