There isn't a lot of posts about this plane. Is it worth getting?

How often do you see someone flying it?

well I've been around these games enough to know that what you stated is the worst way to get an opinion on a game char (in game vehicle). This is what Reitoursair said about the plane "I've really fallen for this plane and see it becoming one of my most played aircraft in the future". They also stated "Opinion: A decent plane with the ability to become one of the strongest in its tier."

The reason that you cannot judge a plane by how many people fly it is because very few people may actually have it. Just because few fly it doesn't mean that it's a bad plane. Instead, from the little I have read about this plane people state that it is an outstanding plane when setup and played correctly. Considering that is is another tier 8 heavy fighter premium, in a sea of many other heavy fighter premiums, I would assume that many people don't buy the plane because they don't need it. As well. there is very little written about the plane, which also would not entice more to try it out. So just because you don't see a lot of them doesn't mean that it is a bad plane or not worth getting.

i love mine, from the very first day i bought it last fall        first 20-something battles were all wins

then folks began to figure out it's strengths and weaknesses, and can counter them effectively        just as it should be, really

if you like flying mustangs, but with an infinite firehose of 50 cal that will melt down a brick wall in seconds, you will love it, too

i make sure to fly it every time i pass through T8         if i can fly it and be productive immediately, it's an easy heavy to master

even though they're 50 cals, i still run MM 1+2    and i carry those big bombs

congrats on hitting 30k battles, CU!       what percentage of that was in a bomber?

The BV P.203 isn't worth $54 not because it's bad but because there are better T8 heavies out there life the Do 335 & XP-58 for the money. It's guns are the best thing about it. I've tried to snipe with it but end up losing out on some dmg so I just get close (600-700m) and let all the guns hit. It can't climb or turn so almost all other HFs can outturn you and with a max dive speed of 900kph you can't run away like the Me-262 can.

I don't have the P-82 but between the two I'd def choose it over the BV P.203. You can turn, use speed, and have a hefty amount of ord. Head to head I almost always get lit on fire against it. You can do way more stuff with it as well and get the most bang for your buck. <o

In terms of game play, the "free" tech tree planes are perfectly adequate to enjoy the game, so I can't see it being "worth" money.  It is strictly a question of how much of a collector/hoarder impulse and highly disposable income you have.

Well, if you see me flying it, I suggest you fly away as fast as you can.

14x.50cal melts bombers down in an instant.  It's the best T8 American HF.  $55 good?  Probably not.

omfg    you've got so much more patience than i do     i flew the T4 He-111 today for the GT mission, first time in a bomber in 2020...     i think

it was fun, but not heart-pounding fun        heavies and LFs are my substitute for cardio        maybe throw the Corsairs in there, too

This is only the 3rd time this plane has been available ......2nd time where you can buy it, the last time it was available was back in March and you could possibly get it out of a Holiday crate.  I got mine from a Holiday crate and I love it and have gotten ace with it.  Like others have said/written:  you have 14 50cals mounted on the center line and it melts bombers and other heavies.  You also have 2 bombs and 10 rockets, which i have used to flip mining plants over.  If you have experience flying heavies or like flying them then get it.  The twin mustang is by far my favorite heavy fighter so far.

I just can't make the plane worth the effort, but that is me.  Some planes are better at plane-ing than I am at piloting.  It may be because I start out flying it low(ish) to lose ordinance on GTs, then try to get higher to fight planes.  Thorondar, it sounds like you don't get low much, and maybe I need to try again but this time fly it like a highish alt heavy?

So this is why Under doesn't want people to talk about this plane. It's a bomber hunter

I tend to stay around 7,000 to 8,000 feet and hunt for bombers and other heavies.  If neither of those then I will go down to the deck and take out ground attackers.  No I dont like to be that low and get caught by a turny light fighter.  I know the limitations of my plane   ....lol.

i just bumbled around at 8k feet       i carry the huge bombs but no rockets

Mary is my pilot, and her special powers click on only if i point the nose straight down from 7-8-9k and do a full power scream dive all the way down toward a fat target

when we're going fast enough, she gives a little electronic squeal and i see a round light blue icon light up, then i can release the bomb

only then do i get Mary's additional 'twice normal bomb damage' bonus

it's scary trying to both pull out of that dive and escape my own bomb blast      it's the equivalent of the earth reaching up for you

most of the time, i do shallow dives and get normal damage              doing a Mary dive makes my hair stand up on end
