A long time ago in a galaxy far far away bots only had one name

Not like R2D2 or C3PO but actual names. You know, like : Larry, Daryl, Tom  and so on.

A very informal game with no last name.

if the pilot's good, see, I mean, if he's really..sharp, he can barrel that baby in so low [he spreads his arms like wings and laughs],

you oughtta see it sometime, it's a sight. A big plane like a '52. VRROOM! There's jet exhaust, fryin' chickens in the barnyard.

I have seen it in French bots also.  I think it is because of the habit of having 2 (usually hyphenated) first names in some Euro countries.

Using a real person's name on a Warplanes bot would be a severe case of naming and shaming.

When they first came out I frequently saw players in them.  But, like so many new planes, they were abandoned once the new wore off.

When I slouch down to Tier III (which is where I belong, actually), it is one of my go-to planes.  Very Stronk.  I think it's actually still popular among humans because it can fly pretty high, hit pretty hard, and has one big bomb that will obliterate a medium target like nothing.

Also, it's a great trainer for both pilot and gunner for any nation you choose.

A:  I ran into this bot today in a P.38.  Got shot down by it.  I thought of this thread.

B:  I LOVE flying the Wilk.  Far more nimble than the German Heavies, still fast and high enough to do heavy stuff, and strong guns.  It's a JOY to fly, and right up with the B-534 for sheer filth at tier.  (mho, yvmv.)

my mileage does not vary

giant bomb for T3     well, for almost all the tiers       it's harder to hit, because it's the size of a VW Bug with tiny wings        just plain fun on a stick
