I suggest that Wargaming change the announcers voice to an accent based on what you are flying.

You fly a Russian plane then the announcer has a broken English Russian accent.

Premium account holders should even have a choice between male and female.

Heck if my wife can use an English Male voice for her iphone Siri then I should be able to have

my choice in game too.

I recommend they replace them with random:

Bart Simpson quotes

Monty Python's Movies & Flying Circus quotes

Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure quotes

Dr. Strangelove Movie quotes

etc.

:)

if the pilot's good, see, I mean, if he's really..sharp, he can barrel that baby in so low [he spreads his arms like wings and laughs],

you oughtta see it sometime, it's a sight. A big plane like a '52. VRROOM! There's jet exhaust, fryin' chickens in the barnyard.

My favorite one recently was a Tu-10 bot on my team asked the Tu-10 bot on the other team how the Tu-10 was.

Change language to Japanese...get some of those Japanese announcers

WoWP makes a great jousting game...especially with the 262 and people busy in furballs...
I am deaf, silent, and fly with unrealistic controls. Do not count on me to carry - my back's already broken from overweight.

First thing I did in open beta was turn off the nagging voice and it’s been off since then.

I did not know you could do this, I will have to find it and do the same.  I already have annoying battlechat turned off.

Go to settings - sound and under volume you can turn off the voice messages. I forgot about music, that would have been turned off first as it is in every PC/iPad game I play then the nag.

not much to that.  They probably have an array and just add lines to it for the RNG to grab.  A simple task an admin can do for them, you don't even need a developer.

I can't remember the exact quote, but bot chat yesterday asked "when is the next update?"

Music, Effects and Voice Messages all set to zero.  Voice msgs right literally from day 1 because the guy sounds like an idiot; music because I use my own (just another tab in YT running long and looped) and Effects was turned off because of the short-lived very irritating bullet sound when it hit the airplane which WG eventually pulled because of "feedback."

I would love to see bot chat turned off permanently.  Looking at the corner of the screen in the middle of a dogfight only to see some inane comment from a bot, followed by my plane exploding was tiresome but it is hard to ignore because you know, distraction and most of us automatically look at anything that moves unexpectedly because our species is sight hunters.

I've followed the practice of one of the more accomplished among us and sometimes play the game with no sound at all.  It's really quite satisfying.

OK

GAWD, after listening to this, I tend to not agree with this decision.  I vote for Seth McFarlane.  Giggidy.

+1 agree with the OP. The radio announcer has gotten very old and tiresome. Listening to him talk about the "tide of battle" as if we were in World of Warships. Hearing him complain that "the enemy is launching rockets from the missile base" and to do something about it is very annoying after the first few times. His final insult to "shape up pilots, we are losing the battle" is the most insulting. The line where he says "... you can't leave it that way" after all the sectors are captured by the enemy is usually when I have to abort the battle as I have been once again been relegated to the losing side with the inferior AI bots and no matter what I do it won't make a damn bit of difference to the outcome and I'm just wasting time unless I'm just grinding xp on a specific plane or working toward a specific goal and don't care that the battle is hopelessly lost.
