Tier 1- at this tier pretty much everything is the same, but for some reason I just did better with the type 91.
Tier 2- ar67 did work for me
tier 3- b534 , all around, I16 e is fun.
Tier 4-bf109b, not the most turny but overall firepower and speed with decent turn. I also like the hurricane but thats personal I think. I17 is tough to beat but so slooow.
Tier 5- a plane I hated at first, yak7 m82, firepower and decent turn.   Spitfire, just meta. Bf109e like the b only more guns. bf 110 so dirty, Ki 102, will light on fire if you look at it but makes planes go boom. Boomerang, good all around firepower turn and decent speed. p38 is solid too. if tier 6 wasn't so competitive this would be the best tier I think, 
Tier 6-I think is the most competitive tier. spits, yaks, LA, tornado, me410, almost every line has at least a decent tier 6 plane and then you add my favourite the s199 which historically was not very good but in this game is pure beast. 

this should start some good arguments so I will post 7-10 later

Best tier overall would be tier 4.

Runner up: Tier 9 -- Give FJ-1 a 9.6s turn time for a P.1092 hard counter and you have a balanced meta. Maybe also give the Ta183 and F6U a few more seconds of boost.

Close: Tier 6 -- Ki-102 needs the nerf bat.

Tier 1    Ar 65 hands down.

Tier 2    Ar 68 is brutal. F2F  is fun, XP-31 is dangerous in certain hands.  The I-5 ShKAS is a murder bug. 

Tier 3    F3F is fun.  TSH-3 is solid.  Ar 80, to me, really starts to train in the 109 tactics, and can fight a tier up with little difficulty. Ki-27 is a dangerous little turnie burnie. Bk-534 can be dangerous.

Tier 4    I-17, great lower alt killer.  109-B, and we all know why.  Ki-43-I, WOW what a turner and great guns.

Tier 5    Bf 109 E, and the Bf 109 E, and also the Bf 109 E.  Ki-43-II. Spit I.

Not sure about starting arguments with this.  You will probably get a few plane lists, maybe some minor discussion.  Guess you are gonna have to do your personal insult thing.

I - I-5 all else being equal Russian planes tend to be better in this game

II - I-5ShKAS  Lots of guns and will shred a T1 or a Ao 109 heavy

III - TSh3  It may be a slow groundpounder but it can chew up anything that is front of it and it's got armor!

IV - I-17 or He 112 or Bristol 146

V - Spitfire I

VI - Ki-102 my favorite heavy and IL-2(t) used to be better but good GAA

VII - Spitfire IX

VIII - Spitfire XIV

IX - Attacker or Me P.1099 B-2

X - IL-40P the king of the groundpounders

 

It's all opinion and my favorites change depending or my experience and how I equip them.

 

Best Tier:  If I'm looking for fun I'd say 2 but I'd have to say 7 is the best.

I haven't flown all the planes, and there are very few tiers where I have settled on which I like the best.

 

Where I'm at now:

T4:  Bf-109B great all around plane

T5: Spitfire great all around plane

T8: This is where the ground pounders start to shine.  The Me329 is my top pick, though my win rate is slightly better in the NC1070

T10: I don't have a lot of planes up here.  My win rate is better in the IL-40P, but I think the EF-131 is the better plane overall.  Especially if I can ever get it specialized.

I knew I was going to see a lot of Ho Riders with that sale going on.  Just had a battle where a guy with less than a 30% win rate learned that, no, your Ho don't do no ground targets.  But he did have the Grace to Grace the Red Team with his presence.

 

 

I should add that, to his credit, he did achieve the #12 position.  Once in a while I just love the MM.

 interesting list, for sure. The C6 is solid but harder to dominate with, the p38 is solid but again, not a hard carry plane unless the game is filled with bombers, then its beastly but if there are Japanese heavies in the game its pretty much a target.. and honestly I don't get why anyone would put the ascender ahead of planes with actual firepower, against BOTS its a slayer and its nice to out turn spits but its made of paper and takes too long to get kills, its a great one on one plane but terrible in a furball for a plane that can turn so tight. I am genuinely curious why you picked tier 4? there are only about 3-4 planes that would be considered as competitive and there is a clear best plane or maybe 2-3 clear topflight planes at tier 4. the reason I picked tier 6 was simple, there are several planes that are competitive in several different lines, and the clear best planes in the game are at that tier., you could make a valid argument for any of 7-8 planes at tier 6.

I disagree that from 1-3 its NA but tier 2 is when planes start to differ and tier 3 is when they differ enough to really matter.

I liked the 110 b but its pretty much not quite fast enough to escape the american or german LF and cant out turn anyone. I havent flown the se100 but yeah the rest of your list is pretty valid for tier 5 tier 5 is pretty competitive and yes the tier 6 japanese heavy is beastly. a good argument could be made for it.

Ill respond about the rest after.

I dont think tier 8 is really all that great, its just that tier 7 is so underwhelming lol

1- I liked it but for some reason scored better with the type 91, dont have a xp31 or the i5 shkas, 
I loved the ar80 in 1.0, you used to just climb and anyone following would stall and then you turn and dive and easy peasy dead. tier 5 is tough, because there are sveeral planes that are pure beast.

Get the ShKAS if you can. You'd do great in it.

 

The 80 is still great. I still do B&Z in it, making others stall and climbing with some tier 4s to surprise them.

The question of "best plane per tier" is too broad and unanswerable question. There are just too many factors that go into describing "the best". Not all of the factors are known, and the hierarchy of which are most import is not agreed upon. However, I can answer a more specific question.

To the best of my knowledge, the two aircraft with the most options in how they approach the fight for T6 are:
The P-51A and the I-21.

This chart is a compact visualization of the strengths of the aircraft against a particular set of aircraft.

The scale is the normalized percent of a plane's stats compared to all of the PvP planes of T6 (this chart excludes bombers and GA).

At a glance you can see many things about the two aircraft. They are generally very similar to eachother. They have decent zoom and turning performance, but are weak on health and firepower. Let's compare the P51 to the Spitfire.
