Until June 1st, it looks like both the Tu-1 and Ho-229 are for sale in the WG premium shop.

Both of these planes, when played well, can absolutely crush it at-tier.  When played poorly, their derp guns will lead to disappointment and tears of rage - not only from you, but also from your unfortunate team mates.  Want to stay out of range of that bomber's turrets?  The Tu-1 has twin 45mm cannon that reach out over a kilometer.  You can just float back there and lop off huge chunks of HP.  You can do the same thing to GAA - just loaf out at 1000m and derp, derp, derp.

That's not even talking about the Ho-229.  Except with the Horton, ALL you get is derp - no lighter cannon to back you up.  If you haven't played at Tier VII or VIII, buying these planes shouldn't be discouraged, but playing them?  You'll just be XP for the other humans and food for bot MRF.

Both of these planes are very powerful, and have no real comparisons in the tech trees.  Well, the Tu-1 flies a lot like the Tu-2.  But that doesn't really tell you anything, right?  :)

If you missed them before, get them now.  These guys don't often show up for sale.

This guy has multiple videos on both planes. I haven't watched them yet. But if you want to get an understanding of the Derpy nature of these planes then just do a search on his channel for these planes and take a look at the play style.

There's a reason planes like these go on sale and cloud the skies at first.  Then you hardly ever see them again.

So, when do they go on sale?  I was just at the Premium Shop and didn't see either one of them on sale.

Ok, I found them. But, the HO229 is a little pricey for me, even with the tier IV GAA.

My status is "Senior Airman". Is that because I'm old? :sceptic:

If you can con blindfold into crediting me with a Hurricane Ia, I will.

I love the way VeeBat describes the Tu-1 45mm hit registration here about 10:35

C'est magnifique, mais ce n'est pas le SerB.

How well does the Ho make money? (No pun intended!) Seriously, tier 8 premiums are good money makers, right?

What does he mean by "take away your ability to lockup the target under your gunsite?" I don't know what that means.

(Edit: whoa, almost 2000 games and I just noticed the suite of Battle Interface buttons for the first time!! Are you guys using all these?)

Watching this, I'm also reminded that I use and deplete my boost way too much for no good reason.

Thanks for re-posting.
