Gabreski is earned when you destroy 10 aerial targets and 7 enemy ground targets in a single sortie.

And winning the battle.

Earning that medal in any plane takes some doing!  Its actually a good plane for it though.  I have only got a gabreski with 3 planes at t4.  That is one, the t4 in the thunderbolt line is the other and the third was a one time only complete fluke.  It was the ar197.   I try for it in the first two but its not something that I would try to repeat in the ar197.  The stars aligned that day and there was a red bomber over top of me in a mine.  I would kill the targets he destroyed most of while he got others so it went back and forth for a while with neither of us getting enough to cap.  I didn't have the altitude to get high enough to kill him and as a bomber he couldn't kill me.   Between the ground targets I stole from the bomber and the bots that flew into sector I got enough for the cap and win.  Without even realizing it until the battle was over I had enough for a gabreski.  I have also seen it done in the t4 Blenheim heavy but never done it myself in that plane.

My first Gabreski post-2.0 was with Hurricane I...I didn't even thought about it either.

Sigh.  I miss my Gabreski.  I had a single solitary Gabreski and they took it away a couple months ago along with I don't know how many Langs, Doolittle, etc.

 

Take screenshots.   Otherwise, too bad so sad.

I take that little plane out now and then, but it usually gets abused by the enemy.

Always fly it low and make the enemy come to you is my best advice.

The furball is already low.  Surrounded by arrows in all directions.  Then something up above pounces in my toy plane

Damn, congrats. I need one to get the Vampire and have been trying for over a week. Got close with the P-82 and Ki-102 but no luck. I’ll probably get the 60 tokens to finish the mission before getting a Gabreski.

I used tokens to skip it, then the very next game i got one.

They are harder to get when you are trying for them than they are just by accident.

So far I only have 2.

That's where I am too.  I skipped the 3x Hero of the Skies stage because I only get those if I fly the SPAD all day.  I'm expecting I'll get the tokens before I get a Gabreski.
