I am loving the new paint schemes that come with the axis’ and allies’ battle of the bands mission. After I completed the missions, I noticed that all of the eligible planes were not awarded the updated paint schemes. Any idea how it was decided which of my eligible planes were awarded the new paint? (It was only about 5 out of 12 total for both missions)

For example: the following 10 eligible Allied planes are in my hangar: P36, P40, P-38F, F4U-1, IL2(t), IL2(mod), P39Q-15, Bristol, Spit 1, Mustang IA

BUT, I only had paints available in the paint shop for these three: P-40, P38F, and Spit 1

I've only completed the allies mission and of all the planes I have the P-38 was the only one to get a new paint job.  I was really hoping the XF-5U would get something new.

If you completed the missions the paints outlined in the mission description should be available under the camo area of each qualifying plane's paint shop.  I didn't notice any missing in my account.

Did you have enough to apply it to all four of the Summer, Winter, Desert, and Marine configurations of each plane?

Reward camos can be applied to all terrains.

I took a screenshot of me applying the new, reward paintjob to my Spitfire I.  As you can see, I have added it to two of my terrains, and there is no cost to me.

I guess I'm missing which planes qualify then.  Under the mission description is showed the required aircraft.  The ones I mainly flew were the Spitfire XIV, XF-5U, and F-4U-1, all showed as required aircraft.  The only paint that showed up was for the P-38F, which oddly was a plane I never flew once for the mission.

yes, camo paints are always for particular planes.  The mission description on the web page shows which planes get the camo, not the in-game mission description.

You don't have to fly the planes to get the paint schemes.  Just qualify in whatever planes you want of the correct nationality.  Evidently, with so many reporting problems, it is yet another bug.

Ah there's the issue.

Required to fly for progressing the mission != the planes you get the reward on.

https://worldofwarplanes.com/news/april-fools-event-apr-2020/

This shows which planes get cammo.

They're all T5s, including the P-38F.

After getting them I went through & concluded I'm not actually going to use any of these because I've either:

not got the plane

got more useful cammo (eg 3% cruise)

got better looking cammo

Still, I do appreciate the gesture.

If I hadn't already had cammo I'd definitely be super-chuffed :)

C'est magnifique, mais ce n'est pas le SerB.

But I got the paint jobs and all I flew was bombers.  I haven't looked though so maybe it's one of those win the award but not the stuff things.

Yes you can complete the missions with anything T4+.

The cammo rewards are for certain T5 planes.

Paint schemes that could be won are listed in the news article dedicated to the event. The list of required aircraft in the missions window shows you only the aircraft on which you can perform the mission, not the aircraft which receives the paint schemes.

Those were required aircraft to earn them.  There was a small list of planes, most of which I didn't keep that got paint jobs.

I still have no idea where "The Sky is Not the Limit" reward paint/emblem is to be found for this Space Force contest...?!? Anyone?

It's an emblem, you should have it for all your airplanes.
