Hi everyone!!!

It's your resident Biplane Girl again (YAY BIPLANES).

Here's this week's list!!!

This information is based on the data contained in the Clan Ratings Board.  Clans with a Average Battles per Day per Member rating of under 1 battle are considered "inactive" clans and are not included in these rankings.  These rankings are based on the Clan Rating as calculated by WG.

For quick reference, the following information is provided.

Clan Ranking - If a Clan has moved up the board to a new higher ranking a +1 will show immediately after the rank and a -1 if the clan has fallen back in the rankings.

Clan Rating - Calculated by WG.  If the clan's rating has increased or decreased the amount of this increase or decrease will be shown directly after the rating.  Changes in rating are also color coded with normal black text indicating no change in the rating, blue text indicating and increase in the rating and green text indicating a decrease in the rating.

#1 - 6,239 - OWSS - Order of the White Silk Scarf

#2 - 4,220 (-107) - X3M - X3M Fighters

#3 - 4,104 (-25) - FALCO - Fuerza Armada Latina

you are correct.  Our CDR has been on WG for that reason forever.  However, they don’t seem willing to correct pilot and clan ratings to reflect actual game players.   If they instituted a system that lowers reported rankings over time as you continue not to play, that would help.

I submitted tickets over 2 years ago pointing out the problems with the clan page.  The most egregious one being, of course, the way players who haven't played in years are still having such an impact on the ratings.

I was told 'we are aware of it' and 'we are working on it'.  Right.  :sceptic:

This is sort of the issue that I was trying to deal with in my "list".  Really talented players who haven't been around for a while can greatly inflate a Clan's "rating" however having a bunch of highly rated deadwood around is going to drive a Clan's "average battles per member" down until it's less than the 1 battle per day per member criteria needed to make this list.

The best example of this is the #1 rated clan on the Clan board, the DRACS.  This clan has 96 members, but only 6 of them seem to fly on anything approaching a regular basis.  Now some of those 6 players are pretty awesome but a lot of the other 90 who are AWOL were pretty awesome as well and those "deadwood" members artificially inflate their clan rating.

However, because there is so much deadwood, the six clan members who are active can't make up for the 90 that aren't and generate enough activity for the Clan to meet the 1 battle per member per day criteria to make the list.

Now, if there were someone who could, and was willing to clear a bunch of deadwood from the clan and, say, keep it's 15 most active members, DRACS probably could make the list and do very well.  Unfortunately they can't.  As far as I can tell, the officers who have the power to remove members from the clan are also AWOL.  The clan Commander hasn't logged on since 2015, the sole Deputy Commander was last seen in November of 2019.  There simply isn't anyone around who could take the necessary actions even if someone wanted to.

Anyway, long answer to a simple question.  That's one of my specialities!!! :great:

Yes, it's haughty and its arrogant but you're a battleship with 16 inch guns and Britannia Rules the Waves.  Maybe a bit of arrogance in this case is appropriate.

ugh i play and i play and that clan rating just keeps dropping a little bit at time ...

Its like trying to empty out the bilge in a submarine with a bucket.

Fair warning. My success rate at speculative guesswork is much like my WinRate. Hit or Miss.
Usually I start on the right track and then a make a weird left turn and get lost in the weeds ...
And yet it doesn't stop me from speculation.

Ok, well, here are some things you might want to try.

1) Recruiting:  At 87, you have a lot of pilots but you have 13 vacant slots you can fill and filling those slots with active players is likely to help your rating.

2) Tier X planes:  I don't think this is Tier X planes per player, I think it's how many unique Tier X's your clan has.  For example, if one player has and F84F that counts as one Tier X.  If three players have the F84F, it still counts as only one Tier X.  You might look at what you have and see if anyone is closing in on a T10 that no-one has yet.  Could be wrong about this, but just thought I'd throw it out there.

3) Really good players in really dead clans:  There are some clans out there that have one or two really good players in them in an otherwise dead clan.  Maybe they are just there because sometime in the past they were invited, but then things just sort of fell apart on them and they sort of shrugged their shoulders saying "clans aren't important anyway".  I'm not into "poaching" players from other clans but some of these clans are really really dead and all of the seniors officers are AWOL and have been for some time.  Maybe a few of them would be agreeable to joining a more active clan.  This could fill one of your empty slots and propel your rating in an upwards direction.

What I have noticed is the clans that are improving scores are those that are growing and being more active in general.  It's not something just one person can do, it's more what the clan can do in a body and how many of you there are doing it.
