Am I reading right, it carried 11 bombs?  And only 2 MGs.... Forward firing and turret?

I believe that is correct. Balancing it might be difficult. I like it because there is nothing like it in the game.

The BV frankenplanes have been proposed as a potential second German GAA tree.

Such an interesting plane.

But I don't see how it would work ingame.

Inspired the much later & absolutely gorgeous Rutan Boomerang

C'est magnifique, mais ce n'est pas le SerB.

Well that one looks like it would work as a T8 prem? :child:

I'm sure it was reviewed by WG, because they love quirky airframe designs

dunno why they passed on it, surely there weren't any issues with getting the IP rights

I mean... who would be beating down their doors to model planes like this monstrosity

Seems to me like Dr. Vogt had a fetish for things that are not symmetric.

I guess they didn't call him "ein ball Richard" for nothing.

Well, it's a high altitude reconnaissance plane.  That's why the cockpit and observation area is positioned where it is, to provide maximum view angles for the observer.

Observation planes were often equipped with light defensive batteries and small bomb loads for self defence and to make light attacks on targets of opportunity.

While an interesting design, it, as well as other similar aircraft, are have very limited combat capabilities since that was not what they were designed for. It would be difficult to put any of them into the game and balance them properly.

Of course, if you wanted to go with the designed, but never built, BV 237 attack aircraft, which shared a similar design, that would make a really interesting GAA .

"Don't mess with me because I can squish you like a bug, that is If I should decide to notice your existence in the first place".

Yes, it's haughty and its arrogant but you're a battleship with 16 inch guns and Britannia Rules the Waves.  Maybe a bit of arrogance in this case is appropriate.

Why go with the BV 141 when you could go with the BV 237?  Updated version of that plane, with many more and much larger teeth!
