My last request was granted (female pilots). Maybe it can happen again.:great: :child:

Will we have a chance to obtain these fine looking planes?

XF15C is a bit of a turd. JL-1A-37 is ridiculously good if you have excellent shooting and trigger discipline

***

But a truce to this mournful story

For death is a distant friend

So here's to a life of glory

And a laurel to crown each end

Actually... yes. Keep an eye on the offers in February :hiding: The XF15C looks fabulous in action:

Spoiler

Also, you'll have a chance to obtain pretty rare paint schemes to make these warbirds look even more stunning. It shines! :B

Here's the XF15C:

Spoiler

The JL-1A-37 already wears this camo on your screenshot above.

This is one of the reasons I love World of Warplanes. Great game, great admin. I will be watching the announcements closely. :honoring:

The xf15c is an odd duck. ask yourself what would you get if you took a big ol devastator and instead of lugging around a torpedo or bombs or rockets ... it carries a jet motor.
And instead of a big rack of .50's in the wing you get a nice set of 4x 20mm Cannons!

SO you get an 'in game' light fighter that uses a MultiRole airframe (tanky af) and what would be a rather anemic turbo prop helped (ALOT) by a jet engine in its belly for additional GTFO on demand.
It behaves like the usual Boom and zoom fighter ... in point of fact it is its preferred mode of shooting planes.
But it is a toss up.
Either
it is a MultiRole  that trades ordnance for Altitude performance on par with the High altitude light fighters  ... which is nice for killing heavies bombers and attackers
Or
its a high altitude light fighter that trades agility for MultiRole 'tankiness', gunnery, and boost characteristics. ... which is nice for killing attackers bombers and heavies

but its a Light Fighter! (not that it matters because its premium and any pilot will go in with no issues)

Fair warning. My success rate at speculative guesswork is much like my WinRate. Hit or Miss.
Usually I start on the right track and then a make a weird left turn and get lost in the weeds ...
And yet it doesn't stop me from speculation.

The  XF15C  looks like a heavy fighter/bomber hunter. Get on their tail with those machine guns and take them down.

I have come across a few specialized  XF15Cs in my BV P.203 and they really couldn't keep up. But the P.203 is an extreme example.

I like the T-tail look.      Four 20s seem useable.     I'll assume that it flies like a lightweight heavy?

what was the name of that subscription site again, where you could see soft stats?

The proper context for evaluation of the XF-15C is in relation to other aircraft that utilize the De Havilland Goblin engine (or its analogue).  They are:

^ Note that guns on Vampire and XF15C are essentially the same before specialization.  XF15C gives you the opportunity to make them more powerful, while Vampire does not.  XF15C also gives you a 2nd engine (propeller), which mitigates the vulnerability of a single rear-facing engine.  It also gives you a considerably higher cruise speed and boost duration when both engines are functional.  XF15C is also more durable by default.

Saab J 21RB on the other hand 'shifts the formula to the right' for rocket delivery.  Could be a great opportunity for Mary Lovehart.

They're all slightly different.  I think if you look at their slight differences (relative to each other), you'll get some clues about how to leverage their strengths.

Unfortunately, the information found at the links does not give you the entire picture, because it does not account for capability unlocked via Equipment and Consumables.  There is an opportunity for developers to be more descriptive and to provide more transparency for premium aircraft prior to their being purchased.
