Those two pictures show all the nonsense: deep in squall line I shot a guy. No resurrections. 15s later I'm shot by him. How the hell?? And when this ВS gonna end?

You died and he got credit. He did not kill you.

If a player does most of the damage to a plane that subsequently gets finished off by AA (I'm pretty sure & sometimes ADA) it gets credited to the player.

Dunno how close you have to be to the kill for it to do that/if a bug or intended.

hoom is absolutely correct here. If a player has damaged your plane and then your plane is killed by AA (or you crash to the ground, or is being rammed by a friendly target to death) the kill is counted to the enemy who's been the last to deal damage to your plane. Even if he's already destroyed. Of course, it depends on both time and distance from the enemy.

Ah there is time & distance? Can you say how much of each?

And does the amount of damage done by the player matter?

Like if I hit a single tail-gunner LMG hit then he gets rammed to death by a Heavy ADA does that still give me the kill credit?

Could it be that the plane was on fire, but died after killing your attacker ?

one bullet is enough, as long as the hit registered and his hitpoints decremented by 1

the exact same process as an 'assist' kill
