*waits for the rest of the winter announcements and the legendary medal distribution for dec*

I'm assuming more is coming at least since santa bags were specifically mentioned in patch notes but haven't been released yet. And I know Christmas is Jan 7th in Russia yes?
  • The daily rewards poster has been removed to optimize the client loading speed. The poster is still available in the "Daily Rewards" tab of the client.
  • Extended time for opening Santa's Bags
  • Added decoration set for the P82 Twin Mustang
  • Some work has been done to optimize server capacities to improve the stability and quality of the client

Check ships or tanks.  They share premium time, so you can get their deals and use them here.

You are wrong..ships has its own premium time..and tanks has its OWN premium time. They don't count for both. so you have to buy separate premium time between all 3 now.

The wargaming premium time covers all 3. And this is the first time they dont have 50% off for that.

I will NOT be buying separate premium time between the 3 games EVER.

No you can't.

The Premium Time deals in ships and tanks are for premium time that works only in those games.  In other words if you buy ships specific premium time, it's only going to works in ships, not planes or tanks.   Ships still sells normal premium time which applies to all three games (tanks doesn't) but NEVER at a discount.

Actually, since the advent of ships and tanks specific premium time back in 2018, no discounts of any kind have been offered in general wargaming premium time (which applies to all three games).   It has not been offered on it's own or a part of bundles.  The only place you get normal premium time in any of the games is right here in the planes premium shop and so far, that's only given as part of a bundle.

The last time anyone offered a year long discount on normal premium time was 2017.

Given the choice, I'd buy normal premium time since I tend to play both ships and planes pretty regularly, but I can't so I decided to pick up the 50% off deal in ships since that is the game where it's most important to me (I play much higher tier ships than I do planes, so that's where my best benefit is).

You can get normal premium time as a standalone in the shop (cash), in the game for gold... and per Blindfold, there has -never- been a sale on premium time. I'd thought there was as well, but I can find no references anywhere to there ever having been a sale on premium time.. and I looked after Blindfold said there was never any sale for Premium time.

Also, beyond the WOWP premium shop on the site there's this - To be clear, this premium time is shared between all three titles -still: https://na.wargaming.net/shop/base_premium/?utm_source=global-nav&utm_medium=link&utm_campaign=wowp-forum

I got all my premium time from crates.  Which if you get enough time per crate is essentially 50% or more off on premium time.

Well, you both are kind- of right...:B

They did offer a special for 365 prem. but they included gold with- in the deal.

When you looked at the amount of gold that was being included, it looked like you were actually paying 50% for the prem. service.:great:

We have premium time sales quite frequently on WOWP, I think it was summer the last one we had. As well, santa bags are a -rich- source of Premium time. Ask Bomdude about his experience with those last year. I think he's still running Premium time from those and he got a bunch of planes, an insane amount of gold and free XP to boot.

Technically, BB3_Oregon_Steel is right. We've never had discounts on Premium Time alone. Though we do have special offers with premium time and additional loot that costs less than if it is purchased separately.

Fair enough, I count that as a "sale". I can see where others wouldn't.

NO, you are absolutely WRONG. Last YEAR Xmas 2018 I bought 360 days of WARGAIMING premium time 50% off. I remember it VERY well.

Usually one of the 3 wargaming games has it on they're site, OR in the game client.

YOU must have missed it last year, but I certainly did not.

Well, for Shipsgiving 2017 there was a year of premium time on sale at 50% off.  Back then there was only one type of premium time and it didn't matter in which game you bought it, as it applied and worked in all three of WG main products, planes, tanks and ships.

Back then, if there was a great deal on Premium Time in Ships or Tanks, you could run over to their Premium Shops, buy it, and it would work just fine in Planes.

So I suspect that blindfold is correct in that such a large discount has never been offered in the Plane's Premium Shop, but back then it didn't matter.  A great deal in the Ships or Tanks shops allowed you to buy Premium Time at a deep discount that worked in Planes as well.  So technically, probably a correct observation by, but not really correct in practical terms.

Of course all that changed In late 2018.  WG offered a new type of Premium time that was game specific, one type for Ships, one type for Tanks.  This time was also offered at a deep discount but only applied to the specific game it was purchased for.

Since then, the only place you can get a discount of any type on the old style "Wargaming Premium Time"  (which is the only type you can use in Planes) is if it is offered here, in the Planes Premium Shop, and that only seems to happen if and when it's bundled for sale with an airplane.

You are partially correct. Last year I bought the 360 days of Wargaming premium time in the planes premium shop 50% off. so it HAS been offered there. I just don't see why they want to alienate players who play all 3 games. I have a bad suspicion Warplanes might be on its last legs. There wasn't even a Xmas port this year.

  • Extended time for opening Santa's Bags

Extended time for opening Santa's Bags refers to the last year's Santa's Bags. You see, many of them remained unopened, so we simply extended their living time.

Regarding Christmas, in Russia, it's indeed January 7th. Here in Belarus, we celebrate both dates. :)

I'm sorry, we do not offer pure Premium Time at a discounted price and have not done it for the last two years. As I answered earlier, we do have special offers with premium time and additional loot that costs less than if it is purchased separately.

seems like an easy choice?

don't buy premium time at all.       that'll show them

I understand that others play all three, but they're three different games.       really, they are

the decision has been made, terms and conditions can change without notice.    it's not like they owe you a refund

I really do not believe that this company is Greedy...   I sincerely believe that out of all the games that I have played that are touted as "Free to Play" this is clearly the least GREEDY game I have played.  I also see no reason that they should not make some money from people that specifically want Premium Time or Premium Equipment in Planes or Ships or Tanks to help the company survive.  These people do not create / update this game just for love.  They do need an income of some kind.  I am grateful for those people like yourself (and me on occasion) that spend real money as a reimbursement for the hours of "Fun" we have received from playing the game.  No matter how I look at it... this game is a bargain.   My sincere thanks goes out to the Wargaming team for their ongoing efforts.

WG is definitely greedy, you should see some of the stunts they pull in ships.  This game could probably make more money, but the marketing dept makes mind-boggling decisions.
