Part 3 took the longest time for me. I spammed the RB-17 for most of it.

Part 3 took me around 20 games, Part 4 did as well. Not bad really I suppose.

I appreciate for most players that'll end up taking longer or shorter on one of those sections, etc. But I feel like.. 40 games to burn through those two sections? I can live with that for me.  I like it, but I need some parts to equip it so I'm flying other planes. By like, I mean... I really actually enjoy this goofy little plane. It's got a strong amount of acceleration/speed and the guns and rockets are magnifique!

Congratulations.  Unfortunately, it is the almost the clone of the LAGG-3 (34) and not that exciting.

I'm on stage 3 now.  I need to start flying my fighter bombers to "incentivize" myself to attack un-owned targets rather than defending high value targets in my light fighters.

I disagree.  It is pretty fast, turns better than all the other MRF, and better than quite a few LF, good enough guns to make life hard on GAA, and enough altitude to harrass lower-flying bombers.  I also find its energy retention better than the LaGG.

Could not do this event due to Puerto Rico event.

Now if Wargaming had made the PR event less difficult/expensive, I could have paid for some WG Prem to grind this plane. *hint hint*

I just finished part 3 today.  I'm not sure how many of my 58 battles over the last week were working on that particular portion but it was less than 60.  Just for part 3.  Mostly multi roles I think plugging along at 1 to 3 ish per game.

I'm not very impressed by it.  It's not bad, but at T5, it's mostly fodder.

It's starting to grow on me, it's better than I originally gave it credit for.

Well, you didn't do too badly with it in the battle I was in with you this evening.  I've enjoyed it while flying it.  Not a great plane, but a pretty good one.
Fly crooked and shoot straight.

+1 to you.

I like this plane.  It does a pretty good job of multiroling, even if you don't mount the rockets.  The rockets are fun for head-on passes, BTW, but not quite fun enough for the speed penalty.  This thing is pretty quick, but I am wondering if a speed build would make it like a sort of turny Bf-109E...

I quite like it too.

Its not a great plane in T5 but its not a terrible one.

It looks like it should get a decent margin above 600km/h but with only one Engine Equipment & Consumable slot its never going to be close on Cruise speed unless you compromise turn.

And since they have the same 10.3s base turn rate you'd get a less-turny 109E without altitude.

C'est magnifique, mais ce n'est pas le SerB.

If you build it to be turny though, it will give most of the turn other planes issues in turn fights.  Sure, it gets curb stomped by Spitfires, but at longer ranges if you can catch a Spitfire who's busy with someone else, the 20mm make the spits go away pretty quickly.

If you build it to be turny though, it will give most of the turn other planes issues in turn fights.

Then it wouldn't be a speed build though.

You might be left with a plane that still gets comfortably out-turned by a Spit but lacks the speed to stay clear, definitely lacks firepower for headons.

For the record I have Lightweight wingframe on mine non-specialist & I'm planning on adding Boost when Specialised.

So far its just got enough speed, turn & firepower to be in my Lavochkin-like comfort zone but its a bit marginal in every category.

Yes, that's the sacrifice made.  For this plane, I don't think speed is the answer.
