Secret Trials is not a marathon, it's a rating. :)

Marathon is a series of missions, like Op Orders.

A marathon, christmas calendar, some holiday crates... All activities are going to start next week. Missions are pretty simple and should last for a couple of weeks while a calendar should stay with us till mid-January.

Any chances of getting some new selections in the premium shop?

Well, brand new ... it could be the Yak-7 M-82 which was announced last year as a reward plane.

https://worldofwarplanes.com/warplanes/ussr/yak-7-m-82/

from what I could find on the internet, it was a dog and only 1 prototype was tested (and failed)

The regular Yak-7 is awesome and this M-82 variant looks quite good too. It has a significantly stronger engine (1330 hp vs Yak-7's 1180 hp). It trades Yak-7's signature 1x37 mm and 2x12.7 mm guns for 1x12.7 mm and 2x20 mm guns.

Correct me if I am wrong, of course, but didn’t Secret Trials events generally come with one Operation Order per Secret Trials? That is what I was referring to. I’m definitely glad to hear that the missions will be pretty simple though.

Ah well, seems that I slightly misunderstood you :) They really did come together, but also we had "marathons" (read: Op Orders) tied to other events like Flaming Shores and the other. I just mean that "marathon" is a series of missions to receive a plane. They can be time-limited, like usual Op Orders or other missions, and also they can be not limited in time, like missions for the Vampire and XP-55. Winter marathon will be limited in time, you'll have a couple of weeks to finish it.

Or like the candy cane trail last year? To ensure I am understanding that that also was a 'marathon' aye?

If WoWP is going to be in sense of WoWS, you can shove it [redacted]

The positive side of wowp's low player population is that grinds and prices are generally lot more reasonable than other WG titles. No wowp specific premium time, no $250 bundles for "rare" items.

The grind in wowp is far more tolerable than wot and wows. It is actually possible to reach end game content in a fairly reasonable time. I can't imagine wowp would introduce such a ridiculous grind as in the video with such small player base.

I feel wowp strikes a fine balance. It is actually enjoyable. So what if most matches are 2v2? That is perfectly fine with me. :medal:

I'm pretty happy that I left WoWS.  I enjoy this game more at this point.

I don't know about WoWS but I noticed the tanks in the Premium shop are much more expensive than equivalent tier planes.

WOT: Wait 5 minutes in queue, hide for 3-5 minutes, die to a single shot you never saw coming... repeat.
WoWS: Wait 5 minutes in queue, sail into battle for 3 minutes, take out one other ship if you're lucky, die.. repeat.

WarPlanes, between respawns, shortened queues, etc... you actually feel like you get to DO something, even if its an ineffective stuff. The problem with WoT and WoWS is that you never really feel like you got to do much. Even the occasional time I've gone out and almost single-handedly wiped the other team in WoWS I just... didn't feel like I did much except wait. Wait in queue, wait to get into range, wait wait wait.. and World of Tanks is even worse about that. I think a complete lack of action on both of those games totally kills them at this point.

Ships isn't that bad.  I was a decent ships player, and usually gave a lot better than I got.  I left because they were considering nerfing my light cruisers (in a manner I found unacceptable), carriers were completely unfun to play against, and they were adding submarines.

I quit ships because it was that bad for me. I also got tired of getting into a match and watching 2/3rds of my team just.. sit there. They didn't DC, but they didn't play either. Light Cruisers were also a favorite of mine which is also party of why I quit.. and the carrier re-work as well... carriers were annoying enough prior to the re-work, but after the re-work you either play a battleship or a carrier or be a unicum with a DDG as far as I was concerned. I hated the queue, I hated the insane length of time to actually get into combat, and I hated that if I messed up "whoop, there went 7 minutes of my life". A lack of respawns without an instant queue and an instant into combat (or nearly so) is never something I want to play for very long though.. you don't get enough action for it to hold my interest. Personally.
