Our door is always open. We don't care about people doing what they do or flying out of clan either, it's just a social club with a built in flight partner/information reservoir convenience factor and we don't go in for in-clan politics. Always ends badly when that happens, so us homies don't play that game.. or something like that lol.

We also obviously respect personality conflicts, even intractable ones, and we definitely don't adhere to some form of hive mind regarding play, as demonstrated by BB3 and I's back and forthing over seal-clubbing. I still respect her opinion that it's no big deal/part of the learning curve, I just don't agree... and I am 99.999% certain she respects that I hold the position that most of the things that would fix seal clubbing would fix other things as well so why not do them anyway, even if she doesn't agree.. and I am 100% certain that we can both respect that its a high-tension subject with the (necessarily) nebulous definition affixed to "seal clubbing" in the first place. We still just chill and fly and kill and have a cool donkey logo. The only thing that could make it better is if it were a Llama riding a Donkey while a winged guitar amp chases them with a cat 'o nine...

Though.. Captain_Underpants promised me cookies if I came to the dark side and joined his cult.. err clan. When I_D was a thing.. I still haven't gotten any cookies. I was promised cookies! Ugh.. I may have to re-think my entire endorsement.. the cookies were a sham.... Maybe we can form a committee to investigate this impropriety.. I gave the quid, where's my quo!

I agree with this and even though Styg and I can butt heads sometimes, I still think she is amazingly cool even if she flies those bomber thingees instead of BIPLANES!!!!

She's also amazingly helpful to newer pilots with information about how x y and z actually work.  For me, I'll try something out, think maybe it does x and y then ask her if I'm right and she always has an answer for me, despite how head buttinski we might be at the moment.  That is why she is particularly cool in my book.  Lot's of people are not like that at all. :)

Anyway, on to more important matters like ...

BIPLANES!!! YAY BIPLANES!!!   :izmena:

Yes, it's haughty and its arrogant but you're a battleship with 16 inch guns and Britannia Rules the Waves.  Maybe a bit of arrogance in this case is appropriate.

S’one of the reasons I love the Fantome - you get to be the little biplane that could; the last unicorn of biplanes; the one little undergunned stuntplane against the oncoming tide of monoplane dominance. Strongly considering the Ar-197, for similar reasons & not having any premium multiroles at tier IV & up... and also strongly against, because it would make my Fantome less special in my hangar.

This kinda summarizes what I was trying to get at initially, only better.

I LOVE airplane games. Always have. When I stumbled on WoWP after playing a little WoW, I thought, "Yes! THIS I can love, and play all these awesome planes and have tons of fun!"

And initially i did, for the first few days, because i was up against mostly bots (who suck, let's be fair) and other noobs learning to play who maybe had some skill but probably didn't. Won almost all of the games, tried fighters, tried multiple, tried heavies, picked the BF109 series and decided to push on to T4....

BAM!! More humans here, crud these guys have more skill, and BAM specialist planes with way better gear coupled with what appeared to be guys using the same plane and suddenly couldn't win a match, losing 8 out of 9, etc.

I popped off immaturely (for which I am not proud), but I think what you said was what I was feeling/thinking without understanding the actual underpinnings of the game. Now that I have a bit note knowledge I can adjust my thinking and my approach and take back some of that feeling of angst and funnel it toward getting better (and getting even).

Zenkoji - I’m clanless, and mostly fly solo... but always up for a flight, especially if you can use voice over discord. Definitely not the best pilot, but always looking to improve & give advice where I can.

As Spiritfox said, hangar slots... come with time. I’ve never bought a single one, and I now have more than I will ever need (I remember a ridiculous token-powered lottery that just pooped them out willy-nilly, back in the day). As you go up in tiers, pull back on rampant specialization - the costs in credits and materials quickly add up, and when slots are low ( I remember those days, too) - you want to save your hangar space & materials for the next plane in you grind & your absolute favourites.

If you’re going for tokens, I recommend a little more experimentation, and then get a line straight to tier VIII, so you can complete them. The way the missions *seem* to be structured now (I was away for a long while), you may not necessarily want a reliable plane of each individual type (LF, HF, Bomber, etc) in each period - but rather, use your ability to roll a new 10-token daily once you’ve finished all the criteria you can - and make note of all the different criteria you see that you cannot fulfill, by plane type. Sometimes, while your hangar is small, you just need to reroll until you get something you can fulfill.

But getting at least one tier VIII essentially unlock token grinding - for hangar slots, equipment switching, and blowing past missions for planes like the vampire. You’ve essentially got several intertwined economies - credits constantly accrue, materials should be stockpiled for ultimate gear, and tokens can kinda ease your infrastructure.

Haven't done voice over discord, but can probably do it.

I was figuring I'd have to push a line or two up to T8 before I could get tokens from dailies. Ugh. Gonna be a bit, lol. My top plane is my T4 BF109B, which started this whole mess!

I’d say do it. Start climbing. The 109B is not as different from it’s tiered brethern as the E or F. You’ll learn a lot more from those, in a way, because you’ll be able to get away with less. Which is a roundabout sell :p but I feel is a good point. In that vein of thinking, consider the Spit as the general all-rounder. Master of none, it is stupidly strong when you know your matchups. But the downside is Spits can encourage lazy flying habits because the plane never really slaps your wrist and says “don’t fly me like that”. 109’s teach you energy retention, picking engagements, disengagement, when and what to turnfight in the vertical and horizontal... and the most trying parts of the line for some (F or G, flavour to choice) demand solid trigger discipline, range management, and landing the fiddly mk 108 30mm

Voice isn't necessary, but it helps some.  If you and I were flying together, I would use the function keys to designate sectors or targets.  Or ask for help.

I would also watch after you as you selected targets or sectors.  You would learn how to manage both the tactical and the strategic.

Clan invitation sent by the way.

We all have our moments, our personality conflicts, and etc. Having only been playing for a year and being solidly a 2.xx player (1.xx was an entirely different game/the differences were so significant, sometimes I think they should have changed the name entirely to World of WarPlanes 2 to drive that point home)... I understand entirely the complaint and the knee-jerk reaction. I.. reacted similarly and part of the only thing that initially kept me around was bombers, something I can't readily find in other air combat games. A few players being understanding of my plight BigSmile, greenbay, WHOLE_PUNCHER, etc. really made my experience improve and while it took me a while to surpass a 50/50 win rate even.. I learned to be effective and have fun even when I couldn't carry the game (because there is certainly a randomness to the strength of your teammates).

How does one see the invite? I just logged in and didn't notice anything different...

Top right of the website there should be a little drop down that you can click (it'll say your name initially). Then scroll to the part that says CLan under world of warplanes and go to that page. May make you re-login, but the invite should be right there if it didn't automatically show up in your notifications.

Want to check out seal clubbing look up grandapa defender. I know a clan that starts with a O that has alot of members that just mainly fly in the lower tiers. A lot more than anyone in my clan does. So _A_3_  maybe u should fly more cause this version i see what 59 flights. Yeah welcome back and dont try to call my guys out for things they arent doing maybe u should Rep SSG a bit better than what you are.

Wooooaaaah. The leader of the clan that exclusively split tiers is talking smack about seal clubbing. Then talking about others being disreputable.

I have read it all.

P.S. to though who don't know what split tiering means. Its; flighting with aircraft that are one tier apart. Ex. A tier 7 & tier 8. This is manipulating the match maker to ensure the player in the higher tier aircraft does not see a higher tier. This is a "feature" which is unique to warplanes.

I do not know why someone in a clan who more often then not attempts to gain an unfair advantage over other players is preaching about disreputable behaviour.

Our requirements haven't changed for a while. Of course, while these are a minimum, its not guaranteed to be accepted even if you do satisfy requirements.

Block Quote

1. Acquire 5 Rocketeer Medal, Or a Single Golubev Medal.
2. 65% Win Rate
3. Average tier played 6.5 and up

It is highly recommended to have at least 1000 battles played.

Obviously the GW_S squad feels differently about this game than do some of you.

We don't tolerate nor respect stat padders at 10,000 battles with their top 3 most flown planes being at tier 1 and 2.

YYMV.

We, and specifically me, don't get your intolerance of split tier flights. George Patton hates it. Yet  his umpteen gozillion flights in his uber OP unbeatable tester plane are fine. You say things like "they do it to make sure that their top tier plane doesn't get out tiered". By making sure that 1 of the planes are ALWAYS out tiered? We are "exploiting a flaw" in the game by making sure that 1 of the planes never gets out tired? wth?

So playing smart makes it somehow harder for you? How? Are you bad? Would you like to fly knowing your aircraft will ALWAYS be out tiered? I guess that YMMV.

Now, this thread was derailed by some SSG dink making a bovine fecal matter claim that he/she/it could not, and would not even TRY to defend. It's late in the USA and I should probably have slept before I replied. But what the hey, I'm medically and legally brain dead, stroked out, and 5150 so I pretty much do whatever I want.

So you keep pi$$ing me off by stat padding, and I will keep pi$$ing you off by split tiering.  :teethhappy:

P.S. Desert, I'm pretty sure that if I checked your stats I would not find that your most flown planes are tier 1 or 2. Amiright?

I just started playing this week, and was thoroughly enjoying the game until I hit T4. Now, every match I'm in has 1-3 humans with maxxed out planes that seem to be 3-5x faster, turn tighter, with better guns, and my team gets wiped nearly instantly. Planes show up out of the blue and gun me down before I can even see them, I can't turn faster than ANY of them, and their guns seem to be 10x more powerful and more accurate.

Devs, bloody hell read this.

THIS is why we need a PVE mode.

For newbies, for non-fighters, for underperformers, for the love of planes, seriously please.

Right, on to your questions:

1. the daily missions require people to fly at all three periods (Period 1= Tier 1-4, P2= T5-7, rest are P3), so basically the veterans are FORCED to fly on lower tiers every now and then.

2. Pilot skills, Player skills and the understanding to tech trees (which line to go and which not to) are all keys

3. There's a "rock-paper-scissors" -ish formula in WOWP, Some aircrafts are entirely useless against certain enemies in certain situations.

or, for non-fighters (i.e. GAA and bombers) they are useless against almost all enemy aircrafts.
