I just ignore most of that poster's posts. They're mostly irrelevant, whiny and not filled with any kind of information where I will at least learn something, so I just skip over them.
Then what are you doing in my thread?
This thread was relevant all the way until someone refused to be corrected AND refused to agree to disagree.
When the guy said "don't revive the argument" I did what he said, I only explained what happened in a very small part of my replies, and filled the rest of them with Shinden-related stuff.
But I reckon some people can only see that tiny part and decided to ignore the rest.
Fine, I'll try again, albeit I think I posted something similar to this somewhere else already...
After grinding my way past the whole J7W1, perhaps it's a good chance to reply my own question:
Is Shinden really that bad?
Quick answer, no.
Longer answer, no, not for a MR. Most of the problems of the J7W1 should be attributed to the category MR and not the plane itself.
Aside from the very long target lead (due to slow muzzle velocity) the J7W1 has good impact on the game for a MR.
Sometimes I even feel that it affects the outcome more than my Tornado, which is usually considered a decent T6.
But just like many other MRs, it suffers from being a jack of all trades, master of none.
Supposedly an MR should outrun LFs and outmaneuver HFs, but in reality they are usually out-turned by LFs and outran by HFs.
Supposedly an MR should switch between ground pounding and aerial combat, but in reality they usually fail both. (in that regard Shinden is already in the better part of all MRs)
Given how jack of all trades became the synonym of OPness in WOT (namely MTs and HTs. QuickyBaby have recently officially claimed that they do indeed pack significantly more impact on the outcome than other classes), this development is truly surprising if you ask me.
