This is another topic of debate that honestly roils me a bit, the lack of distinct / balanced / diverse / what have you maps. Many of them look cookie-cutter'd from other variations, and to me its sickening (and dull as a pebble on a beach).

I was going to do a very lengthy post that not only took these maps, ditched some, tweaked others, and added whole new fun things into the mix, but I decided to separate the two so that it does not torture anyone's poor eyeballs. (The health of your eyeballs matters very much to me as a fellow pilot)

(that and I want to give myself more time to bake the other half of this whole subject, trust me, it will be a interesting read for some of you.)

 

NOTE: I have left out Invasion, Bomber Escort, and Attrition mode maps.

I will read through this at length, but I must say if you were concerned about our eyes, you would not type in microscopic letters. :)  Might I suggest italics, or making your primary size larger so your little asides would be larger? OK no need to respond to this, not the OP's subject.

 

I do agree many maps are like others quite a lot.

I use Nach instead of Nacht on purpose. And I pronounce it with the English "ch", like catch.

It would help your post a great deal if you could provide photos of the maps

so lazy people will not have to look them up.

With out photos all map's look the same ( which of course is "maps" unless you spell it backwards then it is spam )

 

While I agree that on the surface many of the maps seem to be redundant but

please note the spawn points and possible tactical purpose.

 

On some repetitive maps with different names the spawn points are different and so is the vehicle make up.

 

I can not at this time recall which map. The friendly spawn point is closer to a sector than the enemy spawn point is to its closest sector.

Thus giving an advantage on the clock. ( starting points ). The fast capture will free up 3 support planes to overwhelm a sector.

Hence why a match sometimes seems like the enemy insta-caps so many sectors at the the same time.

Or it seems like you are up against the super bots.

 

Notice also that the bots have different starting positions on different maps.

For example: The map with a Command Center at the North

                                               Airfield in the middle

                                               A Garrison at Southern left and right.

If you are starting at the Command Center side and fly to the Airfield the bots are starting at the Southern end

furthest from the Command Center.

Go ahead jump in and fly as fast as you can to see where the bots are starting at the beginning of the game in a sector.

 

I always preach that this game is not rigged but in essence it is rigged based on map tactic and goal.

You are either on the attacking side, the defending side or its just all out uncontested.

Similar to the map with the Airfield, Garrison, Command Center.

You can hold the Command center all game while the enemy hold the Garrison and Airfield.

It is designed for you to lose simply holding the Command center.

It is easy enough to hold the Command and cap the airfield to force the win.

The hard part is herding your cats to hold the Command Center while you hold the Airfield.

They tend to want to cap the Garrison leaving the Command center open to attack.

I agree with you on the maps.  I don't agree with your attempt to save my eyeballs by using an incredibly small font size.  You may have well just posted something like this:
