Good Afternoon from Canada everyone,

For the past year I've had only WOWP restart my PC (with no BSOD or Windows crash log) at the battle loadscreen 7/10 battles (last %5 of load bar), no problems elsewhere, naturally I am frustrated. I've done a shoot and boot of my OS, tested my temp (30C), video cards, RAM, and power supply to check my hardware. On the software end of things, I am just short of clueless but tried: deleting the cache, reinstalled my drivers, running the game windowed, in safemode, without mods, the WG centres built in 'check and repair' as well as the WGCheck program, which I don't understand its report and don't know how to attach (not permitted by the forum). If there is anymore info I can pull up to assist the process, please let me know (how). In anycase I'll be sending a ticket off, hopefully the public or WG can and will help me get back to a stable game.

Windows 10 x64

Intel i7-4770 3.40GHz

ASUS Geforce GTX 970 4GB

Patriot Viper Elite X2 8GB RAM

X2 1TB HDD

X2 250GB SSD

Thank-you in advance,

Shibnick

just spitballing, SATA port issues, you have 4 drives

and/or as always, power supply, ram crash or SSD failure

gl... hope you get it

if the pilot's good, see, I mean, if he's really..sharp, he can barrel that baby in so low [he spreads his arms like wings and laughs],

you oughtta see it sometime, it's a sight. A big plane like a '52. VRROOM! There's jet exhaust, fryin' chickens in the barnyard.

Tried deleting and reloading the game yet?  I have had that fix some really bizarre problems a time or two.

I tried a clean reinstall last week, no changes unfortunately. Reinstalling helped me alot when the game was in Beta (constant blackscreen without sound), but not this time :(

Sorry if I sound stupid (I'm just a lowly mechanic), but how do I test for SATA port issues? In anycase I'm skeptical that the problem is hardware related, due to my PC's willingness to run anything from HOI4 to Wolfenstien New Order at max settings, but I'll try anything once!

Again, thanks.

First... try and submit a ticket to WG support team-

while you wait,
1: do you have two 1TB hdd

2: do you have two 250GB ssd

if so:

make sure you have the latest drivers for your ASUS GTX 970

delete all instances of wg products

try fresh install on a different hdd, the one on ada port 0 or 1

next, make sure you run the game on this fresh install on a known good running hdd

I can imagine why this would not work

otherwise

threaten your PC with a big hammer

Ticket submitted, your advice seemed to have worked for 6 games to lull me into a sense of security, sorry to say it may be time for my 20lb sledge...

Thanks for trying. *starts thumping head against keyboard*

Remember when you do a reinstall to use something like CC Cleaner to remove all registry entries and make sure that you delete all remaining WG related entries in folders etc. :)

Ok, I'll give this a go. I'll let you know what happens :)

And Thanks (Law #1 of all Canadians, always say please, thank-you, and sorry)

Well Plan D teased me, got into the battle alright... Restarted while loading to hanger. I'm not sure if the program and/or my PC has the sick sense of humour. But if nothing else, WOWP ran smoother than ever before!

hmmm,

like Lassie and Timmy...

some computers are wiser than their owner

your PC may be trying to warn you about potential future anxiety

like a road sign stating "Dead End" it could save your sanity

but, you being a hardheaded canuck the PC may be just relenting

Been a long time since Timmy fell down his well, although I tend to agree there is something happening that's putting up red flags or has a serious problem with WOWP, just don't know what.

Well, I'm going to keep trying WG tech support's advice and whatever pops up here.

If a miracle occurs I'll let you all know.

Thanks in anycase,

Shibnick

I see 6 battles that you've successfully entered... did those last few battles run to the end without problems?

Hello,

I was so very hopeful during those 6, but instead of restarting while loading into the battle, the 'glitch' caught me on the way out...

Power supply died, thankfully did'n t take any other hardware with it. So I did a shoot n boot, replaced the power supply (Corsair 850x) and the wiring.

12 games in a row without failure.

Problem solved, thank-you all.

glad you're good

shhhh, it happens...

after a quick driver update, PS failure is my first guess with rando reboots

I use a known 800+ watt PS on all bench test

load it up with a gpu stress test and watch em crash

replace PS

PS are under appreciated and often overlooked

:D
