I don't know about the rest of you, but I dont listen to in-game music, but rather play other music/song from other sources when I am playing. It does make comming in discord/teamspeak just a touch tedious sometimes but i turn down said music whenever I am flighted and doing comms.

Anyway, I thought I would share some of the music I listen to when I fly certain planes. I am a thematic music kind of guy so that would explain the music seeming to match national origin/time period in many cases.

Vampire F.1:
Battlefield 1 - Official Theme

Zulu (1964) - Men of Harlech

Other UK Planes ( especially the Spitfire I; Hurricane II... etc):

"Hot Rod" - Theme of WWE Wrestler "Rowdy" Roddy Piper  (Considering I am part Scottish/Irish, this reverberates)

Bf 109 E, Bf 109 B, Ju 86 E & Ta 152:
Cara al Sol

Me 262 HG II:
Sabaton - Bismarck

Any Japanese Plane:

Good Death - Shogun II Total War

Battle of Shinobue - Shogun II Total War

(Usually when top tier): Ona Hei - Shogun II Total War

(playback set to 1.25x speed, usually when flying a Zero): Wadaiko Matsuriza - Kabuki Gomen-Jyo

Most American Planes:

When Johnny Comes Marching Home

Over There - WW1 patriotic song

XP-58 (Occasionally the XP-55 as well):

Fifteen men (Bottle of Rum)(some on the WoWP discord know about this one...)

MiG-9, I-220, Yak-19, La-5:
March of the Soviet Tankmen

The Sacred War (Version 1) (Version 2) (Version 3(For some reason i play each of these based on how hard i'm fighting. Version 2 being 'Defcon 3', Version 1 being 'Defcon 2", Version 3 being 'Defcon 1'. I have tended to switch between them between sorties in battles.)

Tu-1, LaGG-3 (34), Yak-9U:
The Hunt for Red October - Hymn

Russian GAs:
March of Stalin's Artillery

Warsaw pact March

Polyushka Polye

Red Army Choir - Let's go

Red Army Choir - The Cossacks

Red Army Choir - Echelon's Song

German GAs:

Hoch Die Segel

Me 410 & Bf 109 Z:
Unser Liebe Fraue

These give me good vibes when I play, and I actually seem to do a bit better and can keep a positive mood. :)

anyone else feel like sharing?

I listen to my cat

if the pilot's good, see, I mean, if he's really..sharp, he can barrel that baby in so low [he spreads his arms like wings and laughs],

you oughtta see it sometime, it's a sight. A big plane like a '52. VRROOM! There's jet exhaust, fryin' chickens in the barnyard.

I crank up the Spotify and listen to a variety of music.

All of my WOWP video's I have made have good samples of what I listen too.

Occasionally if you see me in game I will " sing " what is currently playing.

I could fill this page with the variety but here are the majors :

       The Doors

       Jimmi Hendrix

       Guitar legends acoustic Fingerstyles

       Rag-N-Bones

       Bone Thugs and Harmony

       Eek the Mouse

       Alicia Keys

       Alex Clare

       Adele

       Foghat

       Led Zepplin

       Nitty Gritty Dirt Band

       Ac/Dc

       Metalica

       Jetho Tull

       YES

       ELP

       CCR

       and the list goes on

I have never found good dogfighting ambiance so I just use the game's default track. That said, I have found occasion to use certain Two Steps From Hell tracks like the ubiquitous Victory, Dragonrider, Star Sky, Flight of the Silverbird, United We Stand, Divided We Fall etc...

But a truce to this mournful story

For death is a distant friend

So here's to a life of glory

And a laurel to crown each end

I generally run a "Warplanes" Playlist on my iTunes... Which is constantly being added to, massaged and rearranged.

At the Moment:

Salt-N-Pepa

Saliva

Disturbed

Faith No More

Great White

Whitesnake

ZZ Top

The Blasters

Jimmy Vaughan

Stevie Ray Vaughan

Tito & The Tarantulas

Ted Nugent

The Spinners

Soft Cell

Sammy Hagar

Saint Thomas Episcopal Pipes & Drums Band

Ozzy Osbourne

 Motley Crue

Marilyn Manson

Kiss

Kenny Wayne Shepherd

Kaleo

Joe Bonamassa

Jimmy Hendrix

Iron Maiden

Insane Clown Posse

Def Leppard

Some are just single tracks, some are parts of or whole albums...

But that is the actual order of the artists in my current mix...

They always lead to losses in WOWP.

I listen to them when I play Forza Horizon series racing.

Or give you a heart attack ... I'll never forget playing S.T.A.L.K.E.R. late one night, creeping through some deserted and infected laboratory, low on health and ammo. Suddenly I heard a loud MEOW close by ! I also fell out of my chair ... a new mutant ?! Immediately dove into cover, gun ready. Nothing ... turned out one of the cats was locked out, climbed on the roof and noticed the open window of my attic room and said 'hey, let me in'.

I watch TV while killing.

Not listen to, watch. Closed captioned with the sound off quite frequently.
