Sense the Fall Campaign is kicking off soon, a lot of people's Averages will be going up or down. SO my question is How is the Average Experience per Battle calculated for your Overall Play and 4 weeks????

It's two things.  How well you do in battle and how high the tier is.

Trying to figure this out as I write this post.

120 different players can get prizes & chevrons, 30 different players will get the top prizes because once ranked in their highest category they're excluded from the others.

If I fly:

12 battles in F4U-1

25 in Beaufighter

9 in Spitfire XIV

14 in A6M1

(score at least 3000 PP in each battle)

I'd get rewards and Chevrons for the best rank out of:

Period 2 Mastery ranking on the average PP for best 10 battles from either the F4U-1 or the Beaufighter, whichever had the best average.

Period 2 Perseverence ranking from the total PP for the combined 37 battles of F4U-1 and Beaufighter.

Period 1 Mastery ranking on the average PP for best 10 battles in the A6M1.

Period 1 Perseverence ranking from the total PP for all 14 battles in A6M1.

No Period 3 Mastery or Perseverence ranking because I didn't fly enough battles.

Even if my best ranking is only something like 40th I may still get chevrons & rewards because a bunch of people above me had their best ranking in a different category -> excluded from mine & I move up?

So it would make sense to play at least 10 battles with decent scores in each of the planes you have -> in contention for max number of categories.

Then spam the one you do best in as much as you can to maximise Perseverence rating & to ensure largest pool of scores for your top 10 to be taken from.

Question: If a players top rank is the same in 2 categories even after other players were excluded (eg a top player ranks 1st in 2 categories) how will you decide which one to count & which to exclude?

Mastery counts over Perseverence, higher Period over lower?

And here we have the first person trying to figure out if he can actually do this event. No, see it doesn't work like that. You will only be given rewards for ONE category or time period. You are thinking as if you are going to get points for all three categories, but instead, you will get scored in only one. So, you can't say, "14 battles in this plane, 10 battles in this plane" etc. See, most people still haven't figured out yet just how exclusive this event is. This weekend you will only get a maximum of 3 chevrons and whatever bonus chevrons you may get.

Once a month you will get scored in ONE category or time period. This will happen 3 different times. If you do not make to a top 5 position in at least one category every time they run part of this campaign (3 times) you will not get a goblin. Now it's a little more involved than that because of the bonus chevrons, but that is the jist of it and how it should be looked at by most players.

  the best rank out of:

Yes only rewards for one category.

But I can enter all of the categories by flying 10 battles min in each of the 4 planes I own to maximise the chance that in one of the categories I'll have a good enough score to earn some reward.

I'm not expecting to get the Gobling, I'm targeting the Hurricane IID along with some crates, gold, premium time etc along the way.

So I need to be in the 54 people who get 11-20 rank 4 times out of 6 events or twice plus once in 6-10 rank.

If I focus to get 10 decent battles in each of the planes I feel I've got a good chance to get at least in the 10-20 for one of them after the exclusions.

If Blindfold is correct that relatively few players are likely to actually qualify for any category -> 6-10 rank is fairly easy to get then It'd be cool to score the Gold compensation and cammo for my P-39N-1 but I'm not expecting or aiming for that.

Nice calculations. :medal: You are right that having at least ten battles in each period will make chances bigger. As for your question, although this situation isn't likely to appear we'll try to take into account how it might affect other players' places. Since for the same place in different categories rewards are the same, it doesn't affect that particular player but can deprive another one of his deserved rewards.

 Indeed, that is my concern.

I already have the Goblin maybe they can have the super Goblin instead. I know at one time they offered it but did not have the money at the time to get it.
