Good thing that W/L record is not important to me.

Grinding modules/specialization with bombers all morning, and it's been one group of potatoes after another.  Humans @ T6 who can't manage 1500 PP all battle long?  I'm flying my Pe-2, and about the time the bombs reload, the sector I just captured is red again!  LOL.

All morning.

Well, at least playing in trikke's training room fun times, it doesn't even matter.  AND I can listen to the conversation, which always cracks me up.

Wish I could divorce myself from my win rate. Envy you that

I totally sympathize with your frustration.

I've been playing all day. First time in a long time that I've been afforded the luxury of time.

I'm working on accumulating airframe parts and mechanical parts to allow me to improve some of my planes.

approximately 24 battles and ended up with maybe 5 wins.

Tuesday I go in the doctor to have my head examined. No one in their right mind would seemingly enjoy such torture.

Worst part is, I was always in the top three players, if not the top player.

:(

My status is "Senior Airman". Is that because I'm old? :sceptic:

It does get frustrating.  I can say with certainty however, keep doing what you are doing and it will turn around.

I lost 16 games in a row, lead team in scoring and cap points and kept getting some great medals, and still lost the most games I have ever lost. I stopped caring about win loss ratio in 2.0

I could probably care less about W/L if we got some materials in a loss. But you have to win or you don't get to upgrade equipment.

I completely get that.

I often time divorce my self from win/loss when grinding on a specific goals.

Then there are time you play particular planes solely for the win.

I do keep track of my win rate in my forum profile feed to track my up and downs.

After flighting up with losttwo, I quit caring about my W/L.

LOL, nice.  +1

The grind for specialization and modules and just moving up the tree is a grind precisely because with a minty-fresh stock plane with no upgrades, the performance can be kinda "meh".  You can do stuff if you have knowledge of the game, but it's hard to carry.  I'm working on a lot of different stuff, and it is very frustrating to jump from plane to plane to grind the things.  OTOH, if I stick with just one plane, I get bored of that plane.  I was grinding the Ta-183 for modules last week.  It takes me a couple of battles to get used to how to run the MK-108s.  At T9, those guns are physically painful.  :)  but all of a sudden the lead and range click, and I am hooning around the skies shooting everything down.

Except Potap.  When Potap shows up and gets a 11k PP game, and the only skill my guys seem to possess is flying into an blue sector with 10% of their HP, it is really hard to maintain the desire to fly for modules or specialization.

As suggested above, I will often times take a break and grab one of my German heavies for a little bit of rest and relaxation.  Me-210, Me-410, Do-335, Me-262 HGII - something fun.  And my new 10-token mission is killing AA guns, and that REALLY is about not caring about win rate.  Zap through s sector with my HGII, blow up all the guns, move on.  600 AA guns for 10 tokens?  Sounds good!  (especially since I just spent 40 or 50 to bypass a Vampire medal requirement.)

In the end, the only downside to not winning (other than the frustration aspect) is the lack of salvage.

Have had the same problem. My team full on a potato. But I DON"T worry about my W/R so I have it a little easier.

stop listening after that weird word

if the pilot's good, see, I mean, if he's really..sharp, he can barrel that baby in so low [he spreads his arms like wings and laughs],

you oughtta see it sometime, it's a sight. A big plane like a '52. VRROOM! There's jet exhaust, fryin' chickens in the barnyard.

Things finally improved a bit after I got into a groove with my Ta-183.  The thing is rock-solid shooting down almost everything except other light fighters.  And most of those it can outrun.  Most.  :)

But after I got my "shoot down bombers" (the Huckebein excels at bomber-killing) Vampire mission completed, it was time for "Rocketeer", x5.  That calls for the T9 Batplane.  What a joy that plane is - 5 wins, 1 loss, and now to try for the Gobulev.  I almost had one in the last battle.  I needed the battle to go for another minute, dang it!

It's more fun to win, but grinding out missions has its pleasures as well.  Like learning how much lead I need to pull for a full-deflection rocket kill.

I need more practice.

I don't mind about the win-loss thing, but I do get tired of all the defeats where I end up in the top 3 of the losing team ; you get no progress in win-only token missions, you get no materials, you get no 2x/3x first victory bonus. Winrate of about 30% yesterday and previous days, sometimes worse.

Ouch.  I think if I had a streak like that, I'd drop down to T2 and club seals for a couple of battles, just for the mojo readjustment.

It's a little harder to make progress on grinding if you're not winning, which sucks.  Grinding the Yak-9 -> Yak-9U was positively painful.  The Yak-9 is good in a support role, but it doesn't carry well.  You really need to have cover, and someone who can go high as a flightmate.
