I apologize...   I cranked up the training room yesterday and realized that I had a T2, not a T1.

I blamed the cold meds.     So we had a couple of spirited T2 battles instead!   Loved it, we'll have more

We didn't fly a single BEM, which was a first.     We did fly all T2s against LMG alone in a T6 B-17G flying low, that was fun

and about an hour of Ram the Rabbits on that perfect map!    ty, D

this week, the rabbits made good use of the many bridges to hide around and under

I'll be feeling better by next week.    See you then!

No cold meds.  No excuses

Let's jump into the training room at 9:30 Eastern standard time tonight!

See you there

Thanks all for the good times tonight.  Very creative situations to keep thing interesting.

I had a great time and good to talk to you all.

The end-game of tail gunners or bomb-kills only was a great way to cap off the night.

yep... tail chasers and bong spills

:B

if the pilot's good, see, I mean, if he's really..sharp, he can barrel that baby in so low [he spreads his arms like wings and laughs],

you oughtta see it sometime, it's a sight. A big plane like a '52. VRROOM! There's jet exhaust, fryin' chickens in the barnyard.

It was a blast!

Thanks, trikke, for the fun times.  ACE cracked me up, as usual, and I know I'm onto something when I pick the same plane as two of the best players in the game (without seeing their choice first.)  Now, all I have to do is actually PLAY like them.

they put their pants on one leg at a time, just like the rest of us.      I'm...  just assuming we're all wearing pants

23-ish hours until Sat Nite Live rolls into town!      finish writing that will, because a few of us won't survive it

starting off with bone-stock T2s again, everyone get a couple ready.

remember, zero skill 100% pilots only....  and no enhancing   scouts honor.     equal planes mean equal battles

get a T2 LF and get the T2 AO German heavy.      first, we fly only lights, and then only AOs, then a free-for-all

plus the usual tomfoolery.      see you at 9:30 EST Saturday night!

Assuming we all wear pants makes an A-S-S out of all of you.  Might I suggest you all become A-S-Ses abfore you you all show  your true colors?

I mean, I'm technically a gun. The only true color I have to show is red with a bit of lead black mixed in :teethhappy:

Your planes shoot down just the same no matter what you're wearing...

thanks to everyone who came into the training room tonight!

we flew several battles in bone stock T2s...  first LF then AOs and finally GAs, with one skill pilots 100% trained

then Reito and SFMY put on an exhibition of high tier bomber mastery, just those two guys against all the rest of us at T8

it was a massacre, so I began stacking the deck until we could beat them.   it took a while until I figured it out

my favorite part of the night, Bomber Escort, where we all fly together as a team.   shooting down friends is difficult for me

then came Ram the Rabbit, T2s are the rabbits and the other team is T8 and up, and trying to swoop in and ram them

the T2s get to fire on the T8s, but the T8s cannot fire at all.    we couldn't fly a plane with tailguns, either

Reito found the perfect rabbit hole and hid out for the entire battle.   we never found him

stop back next Saturday at 9:30 EST and join us?   or drop in later, we'll bring you in after we finish the current battle

I recommend activating the WOWP NA section in Discord, you'll be able to join in the most fun part of the night, in Flt 2

To be fair, that wasn't "high tier bomber mastery" as none of you were in tier 9 or 10 heavy fighters. It was just a massacre.

I got you once, when you were 3/4 dead.     but you two just beat us down hard 99% of the battle.

fun for you guys, but...       you would have won without even capping, just attrition.

hmmm...   that might be fun, no bombing allowed, just a bunch of T8 LFs and MRFs against you?

hortens?  what else would be perfect against you two?

same in other tiers?    b-17g vs T4?    more folks would have more selections     b-17d vs sniper C-3s?

I did start the battle thinking we just had to hunt you guys down, not actually play the game. So I wasted a few minutes climbing on my Me 329 :izmena:

D flew around at about 1k meters just gunning us down, with front and back guns

then four horsemen appeared in the sky and started throwing lightning bolts at us, too.       yes, I think I saw that happen

At T8, there are several planes that make decent anti-bomber noises.  First is my favorite, the Do-335.  Fast enough and turny enough to do the things that need to be done.  My second favorite, the Me-262.  Harder to get the job done, due to poor gun range, but if you can get within range, you are going to lay the wood to any bomber.  Another favorite is the T8 Batplane.  Those R4Ms are not fun, coupled with some 20mm love.  Altitude can be an issue.  A new favorite bomber-tickler is the Ho-229.  Hang out at 1300m, and tickle, tickle, tickle.  Don't forget to give a test tickle...

Now, if I am allowed to have my Me-262HGII, well, put all those other guys to bed...

There was a Horten but fat lot of good his guns did considering I opened up at him at 1.1km with guns that deal almost double his DPS with 100% accuracy. There was also a Tempest, an XP-58, a Ta152 and an Me329.

But you don't need me to tell you that: come join the next flyout and have a swing at me and Reit.

Next time us two should do tier X GAAs vs tier 8 players or something along those lines

See, I don't have the same level of confidence in a GAA that I have in an Su-10 - which is kinda odd given that the P.1102B has superior maneuverability and agility compared to the Su-10, but I would much rather be in an Su-10 or EF-131 than an IL-40P or P.1102B. Maybe its because there're fewer things to fly into at regular bomber altitudes or just the speed bombers can travel at compared to GAAs?  I dunno but I don't have the confidence to take a 6 v 2 matchup in my 1102B

As for last weekend's event, I think it should have been all of you guys AND Reitousair against me, not sticking Rei on my team since that basically tipped it into "your chances of winning just hit negative numbers"

[Edit] Oh, wait - I know why. The Su-10 has 20% more HP and turret DPS along with double the destructive power at 10% faster reload, boost and dive speed

I think we just stick to "The Quackening" in future. It isn't fun for the guys trying to kill the bomber even if its absolutely hilarious for the bomber.
