A small word in defense of WoWP. They did finally do something.
Why small? It took way too long and, I believe, only happened because the people rose up in outrage and WG saw the threads. And the something they did was tiny and not very effective. I am already hearing reports that he is back, barely a few days after their belated action.
I am not a fan of your proposed solution.

Accidental team damage is a part of the game. It requires you to be careful not to ram or shoot a team mate. This individual was very rare which is why there is so much discussion about his knuckle headed ways. Which is probably something he cherishes, BTW. Just like the mass murderer who is extremely rare but seeks the so called limelight.

Personally, removing team damage wouldn't ruin anything for me, but evidently it would ruin it for others
and if we can't agree, then may I suggest drastically reduced team damage?

Loved that system.
However though, I am still an advocate for simply removing team damage. Realism as an argument doesn't hold weight with me personally as an argument for keeping it. Especially given that the few times I end up team shooting or ramming someone its a bot because they literally flew straight into my path. Losing points because bots are dumb and fly into a volley of 37mm from my XP-58 sucks.

See, I like that. That's why I liked the other game's system I mentioned where.. sure.. you damaged the teammate.. but you did -twice- that to yourself.
Either of these ideas seems a good solution -to me-

Team damage is not planned to be removed. Any violations of game rules are dealt with by the responsible Customer Care Team. As I already mentioned in this thread, both in-game reporting and submitting tickets will speed up the process of taking actions against a violator. And as I said here, there need to be a certain number of reports for taking any action against a player. Please take into account that habitual violations have an escalating punishment, similar to the forum bans - Warning - First Strike - Second Strike - etc. Each successive punishment is harsher and longer.
I am sure actions will be taken against the violator according to the policy.

Ok. So.
First, make ticket submission easier. I really shouldn't have to close my game and come out to the desktop, load up a browser, and fish around for screenshot and replay files. These things should all be doable in the game client itself in your hangar. Most other games you can. Oh.. and why do I have to close the game? Because your game freezes up when I alt-tab out and then when I try to alt-tab back in locks my machine so I have to ctrl-alt-delete and reboot or sign out to kill the processes as it also locks focus and will not let me back to the desktop or into -any- other app, including task manager.
Second, quick reporting seems to do absolutely nothing. I reported the same player for harassment using the in-match quick report function for months, as did all of my flight mates and nada. I filed one ticket and it was immediately taken care of. It might behoove WG to make sure their systems are -actually functioning- because frankly they do not seem to be.
Third, any well run company goes where the players are talking and reporting stuff to do their customer service work. We rely on you Blindfold, because you actually communicate and because it seems that often as not we report things spam wise using your quick report feature and many of us file (or at least seem to file) tickets and get zero response for hours, days, weeks, sometimes months. Whereas here, we get a sense of community in our suffering and we ACTUALLY GET A TIMELY RESPONSE. Pardon the all caps, but I had a ticket where I PAID FOR something and it took the best part of a week for CS to respond and then they didn't respond til a day -after- they fixed it.. EXCEPT, of the package I purchased I only got the plane and not the REST of said package. It just wasn't worth my effort to continue to hounding about it for days more and open a new ticket for the REST of the package, that's how opaque your CS/ticketing system is. Might I suggest, as part of this third, that your CS team is either understaffed, inept, untrained, or their systems are not working and/or poorly designed? Because truthfully Blindfold, we all come here because we actually feel like you are reading us and hearing us. Which is -not- a sense most of us get with the ticket or the in-game quick report function as it can take multiple multiple days -or longer- to get any response.
Fourth. You are entirely correct, when enough tickets are filed in a -short enough- time span we do seem to get a quick response. That seems to be a part of the problem however. We are a sporadic and less densely populated server than EU/RU, so that means the numbers you are getting that are supposed to trigger a more intense response are.. to my view.. set too high (If, in fact, your automated systems are working and working as designed).
Fifth, none of this is a criticism of -you- to my understanding. You've always been an honest representative to those of us on the forums and seem to do the best you can. This is long thought frustration and criticism of other portions of the corporation and perhaps some really poor planning regarding CS, ticketing, etc.
