Last patch or two I'm experiencing issues with 2 instances of cef_browser_process sitting there eating away hard at cpu cycles sometimes when I start up WoWP.

Its eating a solid 20% or so of cpu.

Google results show this is a WG ingame browser process.

Presumably it grabs interface stuff off the WG webserver for the event splash-screens etc.

I'm presuming it is going mental because what its trying to access is not there/not responding or something so it keeps trying on a fast loop.

When I kill the process & it frees up resources, my frame rate comes back to normal & there doesn't seem to be a downside.

Doesn't happen every time I start it up though.

I wonder if it might be related to the daily reward missions with me being in a next day timezone?

This week the ping has turned into my nightmare and its not just the NA server its the Asian/japan server and its just world of warplanes im getting NA  blowouts to 900 and Asian ones to 400 then I open world of warships Asia play a game oh 37ms you tell me.and the Asian world of warplanes is not normally bad usually at 157 its hard to kill crap when its like that and it happen mid-game and even comes and goes or it can be a whole game if I put in a ticket I know I'm wasting my time its always the users fault.

Well, if it's your fault I wish you would fix it because it's screwing mine up, too.  Must be a dang powerful rig you got there to reach out and mess with everybody.

I used CCleaner after reading this and it cleaned some WG carp out of my registry.  Running smoother, by far.

:great:

CCleaner is good.     I've used Glary for 15 years, I love it so much that I bought it

They're very similar

Screenshots

Thats combined 28% of my 4.3Ghz quadcore, 6% more than the actual game sitting in Hangar

And when I kill the process

see this thread:

http://forum.worldofwarplanes.com/index.php?/topic/56173-i-have-a-new-acronym-ctcs-crash-to-cloud-screen-get-it-two-weeks-in-a-row/page__pid__788211#entry788211

it gobbles a vast array of resources

it also causes lockups on the software

MNBV Fockewulf also pointed this out even earlier

:hiding:

it stands for :

Chromium E'ffin Embedded Browser

I'm pretty sure WG devs are fully aware

they have their entire sh' show based on keeping it in their orbit

oh well...

this is what we have to deal with

if the pilot's good, see, I mean, if he's really..sharp, he can barrel that baby in so low [he spreads his arms like wings and laughs],

you oughtta see it sometime, it's a sight. A big plane like a '52. VRROOM! There's jet exhaust, fryin' chickens in the barnyard.
