Isn't the Do 335 in the shop now for like 55 USD?

Is it worth it for someone who already has a 262, a Ta 152, and an Ho 229? Or is it a clone of one of those?

It is a plane unlike any of the others.

OK, I'll tell you a secret.  I am a fan of German Heavy Fighters.  I own all of them.  Every.  Single.  One.  If a new one came out tomorrow, even if it was terrible, I'd buy it.  That's how in the tank I am for German heavies.  But the Do-335 is a plane apart from those guys.  It can completely own a T8 battle.  1000kg of bombs.  1km range on the cannon.  FAST.

Buy it.  Run it.

Once you build it up to ultimate specialist, you will embarrass yourself with the amount of silver you can make.

This pack, the RB-17, the Do 335, or the IL-10M?

I notice there's no GAA in that pack and I do need something to get Lang medals. Of course fun factor is important.

I print lang and doolittle medals in my RB-17, as well as silver. It is a vicious little beastie still if flown properly.

I notice there are quite a few "TRUE ICONs" not on this list for each nation.

For instance, you can NOT include the British in a list of iconic WW2 aircraft without including the submarine spitfire.

Most people would also say (and I would disagree) the USA should include the P-51 Mustang.

Me, I'm not buying it because it does not include the ONLY US aircraft to serve the ENTIRE TIME the US was in the war.

It was the FIRST aircraft in the world to exceed 400 mph.

The first aircraft that faced the 'compressibility factor' (later known as 'the sonic barrier')

It shot down more enemy aircraft than any other US aircraft model.

It was the preferred ride of 4 of the US top 10 aces of WW2 (including the top 2... Richard Bong and Thomas McQuire)

The aircraft got Admiral Yamamoto because it was the ONLY aircraft in the US arsenal with the range to reach him.

And it is the aircraft Charles Lingberg  was piloting when he got his one-and-only air-to-air kill.

P-38
