I thought they were giving out the board game Axis and Allies, a great game (games actually as there are a few different ones) if anyone is interested in those things.

I really think your greed is getting the better of you or you are undervaluing the deal.

For the collector that has to have them all, this is one way to do it.
10 planes at $8.50 each is a good deal. especially when it includes the Tier7  302, and the Tier 6  P-39N1, Mustang Mk.1 and the IL-1.

For the player that has it all or just wants something different this also not terrible. but your mileage Will vary.
I guess the first question is  "I already have some, most or all of these planes. What is the Gold compensation my dude?"
Honestly that is hard to determine with true accuracy.

I took a stab at equivalent values ... here

and long story short it converts into  $122 worth of gold compensation for spending $85.
Either that is; a 30% cost savings. Or a 43% Return on Investment. depending on how you choose to look at it.

with the additional benefit of adding planes into your garage that you dont already have.
and dont really do what their normal variants do either.
a teir 6 Mustang with cannons is unique. and british. Lucky limey pricks ... :sceptic:
but hey its a mustang with cannons! Eagle Squadron; to your stations!:honoring:
The P-39N-1 is a low alt turn and burn plane armed like heavy. Yeah, it is that crazy. :amazed:
Hey Russian Ground Pounders! why should zeGermans have all the fun with GAA that can shoot down planes? Fly an IL-1 Today:izmena:
and the 302 is a Headhunters dream. "hey see that specialist on the other side of the map? Watch me ruin his whole battle!"

THe other 6 aircraft are variations of the usual suspects in Tier 5
but then they take one particular aspect and push the envelope well and truly beyond the usual fukery you find in WoWp.

Even a New Player can enjoy this.
This is a noob friendly way to explore the complexities of the Mid tier game in a way that makes you never have to worry about your economy no matter your skill level
until you actually start buying tech tree planes.

It give you ten new aircraft that print out credits and exp. Ten pilots for training.
And they cover just about every playstyle in the game.
If you have a plane that you just dont like for what ever reason even after you specialize it. No Problem.
you can sell the plane in your depot. (no buy backs! so be careful) and get about half its value in silver added to your account.
You can keep the Hanger slot and pilot for what ever plane you really(!) love.

THe only real down side to this is the $85 buy in. its a bit steep.
And for that price you can get a whole Tier 8 premium tricked out with ultimate equipment ...

With minimum wages that is still a days work. but at least you have a 10 day period within which you can get a paycheck.

Fair warning. My success rate at speculative guesswork is very hit or miss. Usually I start on the right track and then a make a weird left turn and get lost in the weeds ...
And yet it doesn't stop me from speculation.
Specialist Planes i have:
USA: XP-31, Model 81A-1, P-40, P-51A, P-39N-1, XF15C,
F11C-2, F4F, P-47B,

USSR: Tu-1  UK: DH.100 F1. Japan: not even once. France: SE 100

I remember loooooooong ago around one Christmas, I THINK, an offer much like this occurred. I bought the planes in that account and it was a great buy.  I highly recommend this deal as it will not be offered again, perhaps, for another few years.  Just do it, the planes are lots of fun.

It's extremely tempting but I'm not sure if I'd be better served getting the Do 335 since it's one of the only tier 8 premies I don't have, and these are all mid tier (though I love my Zero experimental).

This pack, the RB-17, the Do 335, or the IL-10M?

I notice there's no GAA in that pack and I do need something to get Lang medals. Of course fun factor is important.

I wouldn’t have pointed out the IL if I did.

The IL-1 in the pack is not an attack plane, it's a multirole. I assumed GAA means Ground Attack Aircraft with is just an abbreviation of Attack Aircraft used instead of AA to avoid confusion with anti-aircraft.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

Nope, apparently you’re correct.  I thought there was some other pack you referenced there with the il-10

Now that I look at it my post was a bit confusing, my bad. I'm just juggling in my head which premium purchases would be better, this Axis & Allies bundle or one of those Tier 8's.

Oh, it's reasonable - but there is no "must-have" airplane on that list, except the P-39.  All the rest are interesting, but if you don't have them, NBD.

Now, for $85, the Do-335 would be worth it, and I would buy it in a second for that money.  That plane has made me SO MUCH SILVER, built up three pilots, and now all of the gear on it is ultimate, and I might even start pulling the lever on moving toward 478 on the equipment.  Or re-mounting all the specialty hardware I've won the last few weeks.  Get that turn time down to under 10 seconds....

Not really, but that would make some folks REALLY mad, yeah?  LOL.

Anyway, my desire to spend real money on this game has gone down a lot in the last couple of months, so the $85, even with the gold exchange, isn't worth it.

Now, to folks who don't have any of these planes, it might be worth it, just to have all those premiums to play.  The IL-1 is fun, and the P-39 is a GREAT T6 plane, no lie.

Isn't the Do 335 in the shop now for like 55 USD?

Is it worth it for someone who already has a 262, a Ta 152, and an Ho 229? Or is it a clone of one of those?
