Been playing a week - ups and downs with about an even W-L result,  until I activated  the Special Mission for Vampire.

After 12 losses in a row, I'm wondering if the MM is skewed?

Really spoiling the game......

13,14,15,16 and still counting....

30 straight losses - tried plane change, country change, etc. I'm usually top half scorer.

you need a hat...

we all wear one

if the pilot's good, see, I mean, if he's really..sharp, he can barrel that baby in so low [he spreads his arms like wings and laughs],

you oughtta see it sometime, it's a sight. A big plane like a '52. VRROOM! There's jet exhaust, fryin' chickens in the barnyard.

Pretty funny - done for awhile though, after 20 losses, something wrong.....now 30 losses.

Finally - # 31rst game - a win!

WooHoo!

BTW - Other players have  messaged me to encourage me - thanks!

In Warships 47-48% normal win rate.... here 35% which is [edited].

Conclusion: Matchmaking in this game is seriously flawed. Big blowout games with tons of bots just aren't a lot of fun. Boring.

all BullSpit aside...

there are theories that follow your line of thinking

try changing your plane

hardheadedness is rarely rewarded in this game

something is working against you...

MM has been pretty weird (even more than usual) lately.

I causes a lot of people to think the outcome is determined by a MM flip of the coin at the outset.

As an example, today I had an all bot battle.  Leading comfortably 775 to 603 with four planes left on each side.  Suddenly the screen goes blank and the announcer goes silent.  Then up goes the hangar and the results.  DEFEAT, Combat Group Destroyed.  This kind of inexplicable carp happens way too often.

Well you have 86 battles and have not learn how to win at the game yet.

Have you tried capturing sectors by shooting the white ADA instead of the red planes.

Have you tried flipping a red sector by shooting the red ADA planes.

Have you tried following another player in the game and keeping his tail clear.

Have you tried starting at high altitude and just do boom and zoom on the enemy.

Do not look at match maker. The match maker is not rigged to give you losing battles.

It truly is your inability to play and learn strategy and how to fly.

May I suggest to buddy up with someone in a flight and ask for help.

There are many of us in the forums that are willing to help and show you how to play this game.

Doesn't really matter.  Most of the team is bots.

Matchmaker certainly does some wonky things.  Long losing streaks are pretty common...but a feature of those losing streaks is usually you're flying the same plane for most/all of it.  Once I was on the opposite side of something like 8 straight battles against the same player, and there were plenty of other players in those battles but I don't think I saw any of those others more than twice over that span.  So it isn't entirely random, but probably due to the way it composes teams and fills in the bots.

It's hard to argue.  I played three battles in a row against the same people, flying the same plane.  Changed planes in-tier, all of a sudden I don't get the same matchups, even though the same people are in-game.

Today, against medium level players, bots won the battle...say no more.

No player should ever have 30 straight loses, much less 5 or 6 in a row without having that little light bulb appear above their head when they realize IT'S TIME TO QUIT FOR AWHILE! It is like trying to hammer a nail that is already bent and you keep smashing your fingers, before you realize a new nail might help a whole lot. So "Solomo" you are not doing yourself any favors by advertising that you are a very slow learner, and it undermines your assertion that the matchmaker is the primary issue and not your utter incompetence when it comes to knowing when to play and when not too.

Mmmm.  Part of this thread went missing?

My reply, above, doesn't make sense without the quoted part.

This.

Sometimes you can stop a losing streak by drastcally changing tier and aircraft. :honoring:

Well, this is embarrassing, I want to ask everyone to apologize for having to use google translator to read my comment, which has been banned for not complying with the rules of the WG forum as it says (http://forum.worldoftanks.com /index.php?/forum-0/announcement-113-forum-rules/) and they highlight it with a warning from the Wargaming Administration, without further ado, my sincere apologies to all!
On the other hand, as I feel part of this community, even though our language (despite today's technology) is different and marks a gap that makes any type of communication impossible, I am going to take the hard work of translating with the aforementioned tool the comment that I had done before so that it does not get lost in nothingness itself.
Again, apologies!

Block Quote

Wow! I have come to think this and even in a more cynical way, I still think that some group of pilots have friends to some group of developers and maybe some trick will be shared ... I do not know ... I can not say what happens so much As I can not say it does not happen. In a couple of months I will be a year old wowp player and it has really disappointed me in many things (it has also given me many joys of course, otherwise I would not play it) but one of those things is precisely the "Matchmaking" that seems to be determined to make you lose in certain occasions, I do not believe a great player, there are pilots that WOW !!! They are really exquisite! of those in which you focus on going to destroy even if you lose again and again just because of the cannon they give you they force you to learn! (comes several OWSS to my mind) hahaha!
What my comment points to is that clearly one has to understand that WG has his business here and they are not very good at negotiating clearly, instead of perfecting wowp they do nothing but sink it using these tricks we all see.
I also want to add other of those strange things that are those battles where you make maybe 18000 points, and although maybe you double the sum of your second plus the first enemy and you do not win ... even trying to achieve an obvious strategy of taking convenient sectors, those games where the bots seem determined to die in the sectors to lose them without further ado. "I do not know Rick!"
Not to mention those subjects who do not shine in the least and suddenly their bots took all the sectors in a second and turned you into a battle won (yes yes, I will not give names ... and everyone knows who they are)
Anyway, I hope WG continues to grow and all this is reversed because this game is very entertaining and except for rare specimens the community is extraordinary, respectful and very fun! attentively

On the contrary, losing a lot perhaps indicates that more practice is needed.  Quitting is always the WRONG answer.

I cant speak  to what he meant, but I belive he was telling him to take a break not quit the game.

I know what he's suggesting.  I take a break when I actually need a break, not as a result of victories or defeats.  If anything, defeats means "needs more practice".

30 straight losses almost demands a mental health break

except...  many of my losses were both interesting and exciting

which is it, fortune cookie or old Irish proverb?    "May all your losses be interesting and exciting"

Sometimes, "forcing it" causes you to make bad decisions.  Pushing, not paying attention, getting target-lock, it's happened to everyone at one time or another.

Change tier.  Lots of folks find they relax down in the lower tiers, then come back and have focus.  I prefer to fly my favorite planes, then come back to the plane where I was getting my beatdown.  Almost every time, the first battle back from the break is a victory.  You have to break the mental cycle you get in.

Or take a deep breath, and not care for the next two battles whether you win or lose - just fly the plane, and make it do fun stuff.  I discovered weird handling quirks in several planes by doing exactly that.

Corvus  & Nutttssss -Thanks very much for the advice!

I have no problem getting kills, so it was really mystifying for awhile, things seem normal now?

Much appreciated - most people have been really helpful, with a glaring exception:)
