Just wondering why Wargaming is focusing so much on ground target missions lately. I know the bomber stuff is happening, but is that all Wargaming wants us to fly? Don't get me wrong, I appreciate events - I would just personally prefer to see a little more diversity in the mission objectives.

Cheers!
Glenn

Mhm, I cannot agree with you. For example, Victory Day special had no ground targets missions, this one - both ground and aerial targets, only aerial targets and common mission for PP, this one - aerial targets and PP, and this one - aerial targets and PP. :)

This is technically a thread for discussion (from the portal, for example, you can get to this thread pressing "Discuss on forum" button), all the information is provided on the official portal. I personally not really understand the necessity to duplicate information on the forum. Could you explain it to me?

Because we, the forumites, don't look at the web portal, we spend all our time here clicking on new posts, etc.  Is it really too much to ask that the article be duplicated in the same post so we don't have to click out of this/or create new tab of said article?

For myself, I appreciate clicking on this post, and see all relevant information presented at once, not just a link.  Much like having an imgur image showing up embedded as opposed to a link to that image or a small thumbnail I need to click to view.

Call it lazy perhaps?  We want you, WG to go that extra mile so we don't have to.  US = customer, YOU = content creator striving to garner our attention and hopefully $

I think linking back to the portal is good. It gets traffic from the forums onto the portal where the user may see something other than what they went there for which could be of benefit. Duplicating the information in the forum post really just brings that one article to the forum and users will not go any further/won’t encounter new information as easily.

That being said, the whole forum and website need to be SEO’d and streamlined. It’s absolutely silly that I can be logged into the forums and not logged into the website. It’s even more silly that in order to log into either the forum or the website I have to go to a third webpage that then redirects me to yet another page where I can choose which game website I want to go to.

For clarification, this is the process for logging into the forums:

  1. Go to forum.worldofwarplanes.com
  2. See I’m not logged in, press ‘Log In’
  3. Redirect to login page
  4. Enter details, press ‘remember me’ and log in (doesn’t always remember me...)
  5. Redirect to game choice webpage
  6. Select World of Warplanes
  7. Redirect to World of Warplanes game website
  8. Choose Community tab
  9. Redirect to Community page
  10. Choose Forum from the top menu
  11. Redirect to the forum.

That’s an absurd roundabout way of logging into a forum that I navigated to directly. I don’t understand why there can’t be a drop-down menu when I press ‘Log In’ on the forums that lets me log in without all the redirects. At the very least, the login page should remember where I came from and redirect me there.

Cheers!
Glenn

Same.

Also, only reason I would want it reproduced in the forums is for ease of quoting. That's it.

For some reason lately, if your running Internet Explorer alone, it is not working with WG`s programing of their webb sites.

I had to download Chrome, in order to get access to their sites. ie; the Store, Clan page, Forum.

It works now

Thank you for your answer. I'll take care of re-posting all information of articles here on forum if that is so important :)

This is pretty odd as it usually works as ClosedCoffin and White_Widow18 point out. Could it be the issue of your browser?

could be a lot of things, i guess

This gets dangerously close to the WG habit of blaming the user for failures.  The code should work on every major browser.  If it doesn't, it is not the customer's fault for choosing a particular browser.  I, for one, use Firefox on this machine for browsing.  On other machines, I use Chrome.  So, it would be AWESOME if WG were able to make it work on BOTH OF THOSE.  Your response makes it sound like that is too much to ask.  I realize that tone doesn't come through well in text, but WG has a history of blaming the customer for problems.  And yes, I do understand there are cultural differences when it comes to business conduct.

I need to impress something on you here, blindfold:  if you want to do business in North America, adopting North American customer service culture will help you make more money.  Holding on to Eastern European standards will drive customers away.
