Nice mini event.

Thanks for the 50% discount on the Hangar spaces it is very much needed.

I would like to see more events where you can win a hangar space.

Only because I have more planes than hangars.

74 years ago...    it's interesting that games built on that war so long ago still seem to be popular

not this particular game, of course, but in general

if the pilot's good, see, I mean, if he's really..sharp, he can barrel that baby in so low [he spreads his arms like wings and laughs],

you oughtta see it sometime, it's a sight. A big plane like a '52. VRROOM! There's jet exhaust, fryin' chickens in the barnyard.

Since 1991 the school children of Holten, Netherlands have on December 24th, placed candles on the graves of the Canadian soldiers who died liberating the town of Holten in the 2nd World War.

You're not seriously trying to imply that Canada had more than a peripheral part in the defeat of the nazi scum are you? :amazed:

I don't think that was the intent of the post. Just that there were Canadians who fought and dies and are often overlooked in the annuals of history, Or at least overlooked on the forums :)

Aussies and Canadians have both played major roles in world conflicts, but only the Aussies have planes in wowp

Also wondering when Discounts will be reinstated & if I'll get the appropriate amounts of Silver credited back for Planes bought thinking the Discount was active?

I've bought 13 planes during this & have several researched waiting to buy but no Discount.

Discounts were fine and running. There could be a problem when Red Comet and other missions disappeared but later it might be only the issue of cache. If you are sure that you purchased items without a discount at a given time please contact the Customer Support.

Discounts were working before Red Comet broke.

Pretty sure I did clear cache after it was fixed.

It was only after Captain_Rownds' post I noticed that it wasn't showing discounts -> stopped purchasing, with so many purchased over fairly short time I don't remember which were before or after Red Comet got fixed.

I checked regularly over the last few days because there are several planes I haven't had enough credits to purchase, and I did not see a discount price for any of them.

You wouldn't. Their prices were unceremoniously, without much fanfare, changed for the duration of the event. Ingame, there's hardly a way to tell if you didn't already know what their regular prices are.

But discounted, they are. Yesterday afternoon, I purchased the B-32 for 1,050,000 credits. Usually this sucker costs 1.4 million credits. But not with the discount it doesn't.

An average player with an average goal: greatness, someday. Today, mediocrity will have to suffice. But no matter, I will always play to the best of my ability, and I will always strive to make the best of my ability just that little bit stronger and better.

Fw 190 D has been 1360000 all weekend.  F4U-1 has been 907000 all weekend.  Comparing with the tech tree info on the wowp web site those seem to be the regular prices. That's why I've been asking regularly, but the opportunity seems to have passed...  (everybody too busy talking about Canada)
