Yeah it was a long bit of HDD stuff even on the SSD I have it installed on.

Presumably IM there is Hercules I-M which is reported as about equal to Hercules II

Just occured to me IM is probably Iron Maiden like the Spitfire Vb IM

They did mention in the Development Plan text they'd be continuing the Iron Maiden partnership.

Could be a straight historic Merlin XX & 2* 20mm version then.

There was a rumor that it would have Eddie as a gunner ...

https://worldofwarplanes.com/warplanes/gb/beaufighter-v-im/

Beaufighter Mk V
The Vs had a Boulton Paul turret with four 0.303 in (7.7 mm) machine guns mounted aft of the cockpit supplanting one pair of cannons and the wing-mounted machine guns. Only two (Merlin-engined) Mk Vs were built. When tested by the A&AEE, R2274 was capable of 302 mph at 19,000 ft.[38]

probably same way to get it as the Spit ? mission marathon ?

the Bristol Beaufighter V IM has half the forward guns of the tier tree Beau

two 20s vs four 20s

Eddie had better be a stone cold killer in that rear seat, or nobody's gonna touch this

This looks like a fighter version, no rockets or bombs either. It's a bit faster and more maneuverable ...

If it's as easy to get as the Spit Vb, I'll touch it !

Turret fighter, it was supposed to kill Bombers with the turret.

It is the historical version!

Thats how much they had to strip out of it to free up enough weight for the turret and why its ludicrous that the Tree version has turret, cannon, wing guns, rockets and bombs.

Not a big fan of the changed audio announcements so far.

Kinda sounds more like low quality over the radio, which is more his torical but also more annoying.

I may come to like it though?

The "new" over-modulated announcer voice has GOT to go .  Ridiculously annoying!

if the pilot's good, see, I mean, if he's really..sharp, he can barrel that baby in so low [he spreads his arms like wings and laughs],

you oughtta see it sometime, it's a sight. A big plane like a '52. VRROOM! There's jet exhaust, fryin' chickens in the barnyard.

+1  It is annoying as all get out.  I have no idea why Persha feels they have to [self edited, rhymes with truck] with the sounds each and every release.

The person or persons who thought this was a good idea should be, as they said in Hogan's Heroes: "Sent to the Russian Front"

Thank you for your feedback about the announcer. It isn't a bug but bug-fix, so now it sounds like it supposed to. I will pass along your opinion to the team.

The announcer is one of the reasons I don't even turn the sound on.  The announcements are annoying AF, and always have been.  If I could have a screen flash to announce the squall line, that's all I'd need, forever.  No music, no sound FX, no announcer, no play-by-play.  Just shut the hell up and fly.

Ok, but how about a refund for the difference in the XP of pre-patch T8+ planes vs post patch xp costs?

The answer hasn't changed since the last time: no, there are no planned refund for already researched modules and planes.
