Greetings!

    I would LOVE to see the A-1 Skyraider in game.  A historical plane that would fit in the timeframe of the game, I know this would be a great US ground attack aircraft probably around tier 7 or 8.  I would even pay for this as a premium. Also, if it came with napalm as a loadout in game that would be amazing!

-Marty

it would be even better if...

it dropped little airplane shot sized bottles of whiskey

and other strong beverages

we could call it winning hearts and mind attack

yes wylle... one can dream

if the pilot's good, see, I mean, if he's really..sharp, he can barrel that baby in so low [he spreads his arms like wings and laughs],

you oughtta see it sometime, it's a sight. A big plane like a '52. VRROOM! There's jet exhaust, fryin' chickens in the barnyard.

They have it in WoWS... oddly as a stock plane and upgraded to the plane it replaced development-wise.

You will probably like this video then made by one of the surviving pilots and it's one of the better war video's I have seen.

Wicked wicked wicked.This guy is cool!

no, I wouldn’t rule an early version out....

The Douglas A-1 Skyraider (formerly AD Skyraider) is an American single-seat attack aircraft that saw service between the late 1940s and early 1980s. The Skyraider had a remarkably long and successful career; it became a piston-powered, propeller-driven anachronism in the jet age, and was nicknamed "Spad", after the French World War I fighter.[2]

Agreed. A-1 Skyraider and some of its later variants could easily fill out a Douglas GAA line from tier 8 to 10 (maybe use the A2D SkyShark for tier 10)
(with the TBD Devastator in teirs 3-5, and the SBD Dauntless in 5-7)
(Bonus fun: weegee could even branch off into a medium bomber line like the A-26 Premium)

the particulars may vary but i imagine that where the russian IL line are 'flying tanks';

the american GAA will be 'flying trucks'.
<cue the "A-MER-I-CA! TRUCK, YEAH! sound track">

Because Truck.

Besides if the american light Fighter line will use .50 cal HMGs all the way to tier 10;
then is it not fitting that the american GAA line uses Props to tier ten as well?

If only napalm was in game to cook down some of those ground targets.  Then WG could add the "Fire Bomb" achievement for naping another plane.

Who cares what World of Warships have. They even have F6F Hellcat. Does not mean that we will have it.
