I would like to see the opportunity to ask someone to flight in-battle.  As the clock ticks for the battle to begin, asking a player to flight up would be GRAND.  At least, I would like to see a way to track another friendly player, if not make an actual flight.

Kinda, there was a mod that allowed a visual effect to show that you are teamed with another player and as long as the other player was running said mod they would see it too.  But besides that, then it is a no on a mod that would manipulate a server sided function.

WoT has this feature for platoon before the battle begins and I am not sure if WoWs has it too, but I can see the usefulness for WoWp.

I thought about it a little more, I do that on occasion.  Instead of thinking of it as a flight, I am thinking of it as a tag, or just something to highlight another player.  I would think there would have to be scripted rules, like you can only tag one.  And if you are tagged or have tagged, then no one can tag you except he whom you tagged, thus stopping the formation of a flight of every human on your side in the battle.

in most mods there is usually an asterisk in front of the name any time you would see that name. Either using a LAlt key in flight or looking at the standings while waiting to respawn. works in chat too.

Fair warning. My success rate at speculative guesswork is much like my WinRate. Hit or Miss.
Usually I start on the right track and then a make a weird left turn and get lost in the weeds ...
And yet it doesn't stop me from speculation.

Thanks wylle.  I was thinking the mod could be made to think a tagged player is a bot, except give him a color, a diff marker, and an arrow pointing in his direction.  I do remember pre 2.x mods having arrows pointing in the direction of your flight mate.  Something like this may not need to be a server side thing, maybe a local player thing. Dunno, not a modder.

Yes, me too. I miss H mod as it eliminated the inane bot chat.
