Don't know how to document it but for the last several patches (maybe longer?) I've been experiencing occasional, seemingly random audio cut-outs during battles.

I don't believe its a PC side issue since I normally have other Audio source running like a Youtube video or music playing & those are unaffected & I've not experienced similar issues in other games I play.

Sometimes its a full game audio cut-out but most of the time its partial, like everything gone except guns & hits/explosions, sometimes I still have engines or some other background audio.

A lot of the time sound comes back to normal after some time, other times its gone until I get back to Hangar.

I haven't noticed any particular circumstance that triggers this.

I get exactly the same thing.  Kind of eerie to be flying in sudden silence in the middle of a dogfight.  It's like your car stalling on the freeway.

Thing is it does happen and its a pretty gameplay affecting bug when it does.

Kinda pleased to find other people experience same -> it is indeed not just my PC side.

I think next time it happens I will check to see if it recurs in Replay & attach the replay.

It is indeed happens now and then and have been reported to the team but I'll bring this to the team's attention once again. Thank you for reporting :honoring:

I lose the audio of planes causing damage to me. It is somewhat important when half your health is gone before you realize it. For me its way more common than once every 30 battles

I get this audio bug also. So does a friend of mine. It's really annoying. Not as bad as the random dmg you get while flying around. Nobody in sight either. Last random bullet took out my pilot.

I am getting muffled audio on all canned voiceovers, is that a part of this or a new issue?

this cannot be connected at all

but it happened exactly when a cap was flipped that I was trying to defend and failed

Is there a sound generated when the cap is stolen that might cause a partial mute?

most of the sound goes away when I'm playing now and then.  not very often, but it's been doing that for a long time

serious sound issues, I have the cutting out issue and all voiceovers and other sounds are muffled like you are hearing them through a scratchy pillow.  I have tried new drivers, different speakers, reinstalled and am considering a new sound card, but that’s not what it is.  It sounds like there is some kind of audio filter being used and I can’t find a way to change it.  It’s a Realtek HD audio onboard sound card, computer stats below.

WOWS and all other games are clear as a bell.  I can record it if you want to hear what it sounds like.

If you are mostly talking about announcements during the battle, they are supposed to be a little bit "scratchy" as they are styled to sound like a radio form the 40's.

The sound intermittently shuts right off and it's been doing this since one of the updates quite a while ago.

I can confirm - it’s quite annoying. I usually lose just the engine sound which makes it hard to track what my plane is doing - I know what I’m doing, but not having the audio cue makes me feel disoriented and question whether I’m hitting the right keys even though I know I am...

Cheers!
Glenn

“a little bit scratchy” is an understatement, mine are mostly unintelligible due to the scratchy-ness.  It’s severly muffled in addition to being scratchy.
