Topic title says it all.  I see the Damage and Damage Radius with rockets.

What I would like to see is the burst distance.  You know, how far they fly before they explode.  Not just for air to air, but If I am diving on a ground target, I know there are visual indicators for the guns, but for the rockets, it would be nice to know if I can fire them off at 1200 meters or 800 meters.

Personally, I don't want another visual indicator, I just want the stats in the hangar.  Pretty simple, really.  And if not in game, maybe in a blog post?  Anything would be better than nothing.

What I know also about rockets is that they do not have a set distance.  Via the game files data depending on the rocket they have a min and max flight time, acceleration start and acceleration scale.

So technically they could put in an indicator in the hangar that will show a min - max range of these rockets but you have to take in consideration the plane's speed and the target's speed and direction (for air to air).

With the different factors that will affect the rockets flight times the static range would help a bit for players to have a place to start with and then with experience could adjust when to fire said rockets.

After a few you kind of get an idea when to launch. I fired a salvo at a bomber formation just as they came into gun range and took 3 down.I was also about 10 kph from stalling.

That would be SO nice.  Just a set distance by rocket type when fired in level flight.  Nothing fancy, just a freakin' number included in the stats next to Damage and Damage Radius.  Make GA do Happy Dance.

Level flight? When your reticule turns red and hes in range start pew pewing rockets a couple at a time because the numbers changed before and the numbers may have also changed again because I used to do 1200 meter rocket kills with a pegasus and those were not straight on.

I dont think you can do that with a pega now.

Head on or from behind rocket kills are easy if you have the patience to line up on someone from behind and direct hit him and same on a frontal.

I'm not an expert rocketman but was good when I first learned the skill with over 2000 rocketeers.

The good old days! This was all humans.

I think I dream about this scenario sometimes.

Yak7 with 6 rockets, saw the formation close and thought I would see what would happen and barely got them off before stalling and it was a glorious thing to watch.

There is optimal distance for rockets in rockets stats.

For example for I-16 (e) optimal distance for rockets is 780 meters.

And for IL-2 two-seat optimal distance is 1020 meters.

It's in stats on the right, there is also optimal distance for guns in green.

Hmm that is good to know, but the only issue with that it should be a range, since each rocket has a fuse timer that is 1 sec differences, they did this because back in CB/OB days there were many players that could pinpoint a rocket and get many many air kills with it.  So they added the 1 sec difference fuse timers to give it an RNG factor to when it will explode.
