If your team has captured the right type of airfield (there are 2 types, I can't say I know how to tell the difference, IMO WG really should make it so they both can do it/only one type of airfield)

If you die you get a line of plane icons you can swap to at the bottom of the screen.

Click on one so its highlighted & when you respawn you'll be in that one.

It'll reset to your original plane if the airfield flips before you respawn (I think?)

C'est magnifique, mais ce n'est pas le SerB.

Fair.

But, at t10 that puts me at what.. 50k in consumables per plane.. so if I fly three planes in a battle that's 150k -just- in consumables isn't it?

Heck, if I fly -two- planes that's still 100k in consumables alone.

How in the heck are people affording that is I suppose my question or do most people just not fly with consumables? (I don't always, but still)

After you play the game a bit, you will have way more silver than you can use even after spending all the coinage on planes etc. whatever.

I suck and even I have somewhere around 2 hundred million silver. It won't be a consideration then.

Now, I and most pilots that I know, use consumables. Some Consumables should be used. Why not use the ridiculous engine restarter or fire ext.? :amazed:

Some of them (such as the ID10t Sparklers) you can just sell for more silver you won't need.  ✌️

Sometimes the plane you are in is not useful at the moment.
Sometimes you get an option to switch your plane for something else more useful.

"I ve been in a fighter all match and all of a sudden i realize there is a cap i need to flip ASAP on the other side of the map.
I ditched my Zero and I hopped into my P-38 Lightning. Victory was snatched from the jaws of defeat."

Or

So there i was in my slow [edited] StuKa and i got paired with a bomber flight that knew what they were doin.
Every cap i went to got flipped before i could get halfway there.
so i pancaked and switched to my Spitfire to hold the cap closest to the enemy spawn.
Spent the rest of the match chewing on their respawns. "

In moments like that the eventual cost to my account is not foremost on my mind.

Now here is a question for you to think about.

Suppose there is an event going on.
And that event requires that you pick a class of plane,  and win. Do it 5 times. get a prize.
You know the drill.
So with that in mind if you smell a win coming on,
(and you can switch to a different class of plane because that airfield that lets you do so was capped by your team).
Would you switch out? Do you get credit for win in both classes if you do?

These are the things i ponder at 3 am.

Fair warning. My success rate at speculative guesswork is much like my WinRate. Hit or Miss.
Usually I start on the right track and then a make a weird left turn and get lost in the weeds ...
And yet it doesn't stop me from speculation.

It removes the X3 or X2 multiplier from both planes if you win and have flown two. I have tested -that-...

I hadn't considered that particular scenario of being able to use it to game win requirements.

I have 7? T10s, I've only been playing since last October however. Every game I've flown has gone to buying new planes and etc. even using premium and putting 70 hours in my RB-17 grinding coin :P

I have less than 1million coins right now.

That is A LOT of grinding. almost twice the games ive played in half the time.:honoring:
My 5+ lines that im activly using (out of 10~ish that im not using ATM) are scattered from tiers 4 (Russian tree,IL's and probably Yak or MiG line) to tier 8 (Me325 and Me209)

Seeing as i spend my coins and mats as i make them ... I rarely have More than a million credits.

(unless i hit those premium T8 Heavies for the daily missions)

But then, this is more proof that I have always been a filthy casual.

I switch as needed. If my flight mate is a winged terror, then I'll switch if possible to something that compliments the cluster-fvck in the sky.

I sorta wish picking another plane mid battle would happen more often.

I can't wait for the opportunity, actually.  It's like switching to a ground attack sorely needed when you are in an I-16 not so sorely needed.
Spoiler

I'd say more like golf.. if you switch hands you might pick up a stroke or two and it's all because of a bogey.

Yeah, I can't imagine spending that much time in front of a monitor.  I am at them all day long, so not spending time in front of them on weekends and evenings seems reasonable.  :)

I'm physically disabled and poor, so not much time or chance to do much. I can't stand television so I play video games. This one has caught my attention like only one other has...

Let me put it this way. Friday I had only the P-38F in the American Heavy Fighter line.

Today I have the F2H almost at specialist and I expect to have the XF-90 in the next 36 hours or so. My goal, weirdly, is to get every T10 in the game... Crazy I know, but hey.. I set myself a large enough goal I shouldn't get bored and wander off from the game anytime soon.

Some in my clan have unbelievable numbers of silver. And free XP.

Like Bearss (who got bored and is now playing "Mobile Strike" :teethhappy:)  has over a million free XP.

And yeah, many players have been here a long time.....like pilot coyote (above for example).... but you will get to the point where silver isn't a problem anymore.  :great:

I spent the majority of my adult life doing exactly what was expected. Worked 70 hr weeks as an upper management consultant for Timex, TMX (their Philippine subsidiary) etc. etc. blah blah blah..... puke..... Oh yeah... I managed a cool boat company called Dorado boats.

I can't recommend the Ponderosa in St. Louis Mo. because they treated me to a case salmonella.  I was a bonified real life neo maxi zoom dweebie.   :)

My reward for all of that was underwhelming to say the least.

Please remember that at the end of it all the feeling you are left with then won't be at all what you expected.

Seems like it used to be easier to earn silver.  Then again, I was running premium account most of the time because tokens were falling like rain.

Now I am just a miserly miser, but I cannot get to 100,000,000 silver no matter what.  I get within stretching distance and then... SQUIRREL!

My goal is 650 tokens so I can start buying premium time with a cushion and 1,000,000 Free XP which is not very far away (I think like only 70,000 to go), and 100,000,000 silver.  Once I get to that, ah heck, I dunno what, probably will start spending it.

All of the T10 planes (with possible exception of the new bombers) seems like a goal...

My original goal was the F-86A, but then SQUIRREL!   (I eventually got it).
