The goto cry of low brow folks, that can't come up with a more creative defense when they get called out with the truth.

Thanks for being ever-so- helpful Mars.

There are conflicting terminologies here. "uptier & uptiered" being the culprit.

Being "uptier" means that you are the higher tier.

Being "uptiered" means that you are the lower tier.

THANK YOU.
I was literally about to come on here and post something to that effect!! Context seems to be key in usage.

Someone definitely should be renamed to Community Аrse.

About the topic: IMO option B . "upvoted"-"downvoted". "uptiered"-"downtiered".

I think it's a difference of perspective.  If you look at it from the perspective of the game and the MM mechanics (from outside) or from your own personal perspective (from the inside).  Thus, both usages are correct.  For WoWP, I think the majority use the outside perspective, but a significant minority uses the inside perspective.

This is what I was thinking also, you two said it better than I can. I will continue in my nomenclature usage. (I think I said that right.)

Except 'being uptiered' & 'uptiered' are not the same thing.

'Being uptiered' is something that is happening to you, as in you are lower tier being put against a higher tier.

'Uptiered' is the position you were placed in, as in you are top tier.
